What are we thinking?
>>108730523
>>108730523>>108730511maybe amd gpus just abandoned now???
>>108730528
>>108730566is this the hellhound this pc deserves?
The other thread was just deleted
>>108730613I'm glenn quagmire and this is pc building general (other thread)
>>108730604we upgraded the drivers
>>108728278check to see if your ram has a lifetime warranty and RMA it
>>108730566>>108730651you are right a female figure would fit into this pc very well since they are all hellspawns naturally.
the only gpu you need
>>108730742they should just make a 3070 ti 12gb
should i buy the 270k Plus
>>108730792no.
how do yall set your fan cuves
>>108730742At that point I rather just buy an intel gpu.
>>108730792Yes of course
>>108730742It's just simply not enough
Huh, other thread is gone.
>>108730523yep that's green
>>108730849>>108730613>>108730625
>>108730749they would have to fuse off the bus width to 192bit and charge at least $400 for it
>>108730742But I have one of those....I got it years ago....why are they doing this...
>>108730838lmao the 8 core x3d chad beats the estrogen cores in multi core kek. now show gaming benchmarks that test the cpu. 9800x3d costs like 400 bux here btw.
>>108730804fans dont spin until 45cfans spin slow until 84c
>>108730804x3d spikes between 40 to 65°C under light load so i let the fans spin at 800rpm until 65°C with a slow curve up to 1200rpm with 85°C. gpu needs some air too so the buttom fan spins a bit faster always.
>>108730861The 8 core x3d's gets btfo by an i5 in multi core>gaymingThey're right there. If you use shittier ram it can increase the margin but either way it's still a massive value win if you care about literally anything else even a little bit
>>108730881>gpu needs some air too so the buttom fan spins a bit faster always.wish I could set the bottom case fan speed according gpu temps on the bios instead of using fancontrol malware
>>108730901wish mobos and gpus had a pin connector that would report the gpu temp to the mobo. i know some mobos have a thermal sensor connector that can be put to the gpu back plate or smth but that is just not it.
>>108730849The other one was impostermod was letting us keep 2 separate versions of the thread up, the /pcbg/ troon could have just kept that going but he got greedy
>>108730804My 9800x3d idles at 42-45 depending on ambient temp. 4 steps is the minimum on the UEFI curve graph (MSI) and I don't need more;>50C - 40%>60C - 45%>80C - 85%>95C - 100%45% is just under a specific speed where the fans start humming loud enough to be audible. It's going to change since I'm probably replacing the stock fans with something stronger.Other fans follow a similar logic. Rear fan sits at 55% but never goes beyond 66%, so it is a stable speed that gets GPU air out without starving the AIO when its needed.
>cpueasy>gpueasy>motherboardeasy>memoryeasy>psueasy>caseimpossibleI just can't find the right case, I hate everything.
>>108731164>I just can't find the right caseWhat do you need from a case? Because for me, the Fractal Pop Air Solid Black and the Fractal Define 7 XL Solid Black are my perfect cases.>solid black rectangle>no glass>no RGB>no bullshit>5.25" bays>USB-C>decent airflow
Anyone here built a mora 200 or 400 watercool setup? Any tips?
>>108731164What do you hate exactly? I hated PSU shrouds so I got an h7 flow 2024 version for better GPU thermals and fan slots in place of a psu shroud at the bottom
people with open builds, what exactly stops a moth or some other sort of insect from flying directly into an rgb fan?
Reading about all the RTX 5080 versions is driving me insane. Which one should I get if I am bothered a lot by coil whine and rattling?TPU mentioned the Gigabyte Gaming uses thermal paste instead of pads to catch those who opened it and deny RMA, so let's exclude that.
>>108731265I've been using an asus prime in my build that sits right next to me on my desk. It's probably been the most quiet gpu I've ever owned, haven't noticed any coil whine.
>>108731265I had really bad coil whine on my current gpu until I changed the psu which fixed the issue, so it's not always a gpu issue.
>>108731272makes sense fake frames don't cause a lot of interference
>>108731265get a 9070XT
>>108731298not him but people should not be wasting their prime years gaming on an AMD tb h
>>108731265Stop being autistic and just pick a 5070ti model
ATX builders are struggling to find a good case, meanwhile since I mostly build ITX these days there are too many fucking cases I want too. They're expensive too since they're meme builds. It's taking everything in me not to drop $250 on this one and gut my Era 2.
>>108731326do you build in itx for the portability or is it just autism?
>>108731357Both but I do go hang out with my cousins/buddies to game together once a month when they're free so that was the main reason
>>108731265Just don't open the gpu up to cheat the rma system? What's the issue? Just buy whatever 5080 is at a good price and works well. Coil whine isn't even a thing.
>>108731326why would you even do anything bigger than micro today?graphics cards have their own sufficient cooling, CPUs ceiling tolerances are so much better than a decade ago, you really only need two intake fans or lessmid atx has been out of date for 5 years, unless you're hosting some stuff there's really no point at all unless one is aesthetic and not too big
>>108731276This. When it comes to coil whine, the quality of the electricity you're feeding the GPU is important. Even the wiring in your place can make a difference.
>graphics cards have their own sufficient coolinglol
You should be fanmaxxxing anon
>>108731406Most people aren't tiny babbies with tiny babby hands and like being able to build a PC without mashing everything into as small a container as possible. Anything smaller than full ATX is a meme.
>>108731426funmaxxing*
>>108731416>the quality of the electricity you're feeding the GPU is important.this is true, but coil whine is from bad programming. I noticed I only get it from unity games that were built too long ago. but then a proton or driver version it goes away usually. coil whine isn't the gpu fault ever I think.>>108731421I don't use nvidia sorry, but I saw a waterblocked XTX on ebay for 600 I regret not pulling the trigger cause it was gone after a few hours. damn I should have bought that.
>>108731445completely irrelevant when building? doesn't make a difference jamming into full atx or itx. all the pinches are the same size. might as well get the foid doll open case if that is your concern.
>>108731406I mean I've thought about going back to ATX purely for installing a pcie capture card and some sata drives, so there's some use cases. But I just ended up setting up a nas for the drives and don't really play on a console much these days to warrant the capture card so I stuck with ITX.People do underestimate ITX cooling. It's gotten really good. Only time I've ever seen my components go over 70c is when doing 4k gaming with the framerate uncapped or messing with path tracing/ray reconstruction.
I think my torrent compact is a good size desuand it has excellent coolingdon't need anything bigger or smaller
the meshify c should get an update without changing it's size
>>108731463>People do underestimate ITX cooling.the tolerance of parts is just better in the past few years versus the history of computing. you don't need much more than two 140 intake two exhaust and any cpu sink with a fan or two to run am5 perfectly fine at full load. what you don't want to ignore is that exhaust is equally as important as intake.
don't want to bring a girl over and she sees my tiny itx case sorry
>>108731523>t.
>>108731459>completely irrelevant when building?Oh, sorry, I didn't realize you had the ability to assemble a computer telekinetically.
>>108731538nice sheet of PTM7095
>>108731486fraclel is getting lazy so probably never
>>108731538>>1087315474chanxt is just acting up
>>108730861>lmao the 8 core x3d chad beats the estrogen cores in multi core kek.Damn. Reading comprehension isn't your thing.
going to upgrade to am5 I just cannot wait anymore for ram prices to come down again
>>108731585I'm skipping AM5
>>108731592first gen am5 was pure chaos idk if want to wait for am6 in case that whole ordeal happens again.
>>108731624At this pace am6 won't come out until 2030.
ok so I replaced my cpu cooler a couple of weeks ago. I had to take the gpu out for clearance, when I was reinstalling the gpu I misaligned it breaking off top of the annoying gpu slot retention clip.the gpu runs fine still, but my system is slow to boot now and throws up some drive password protection error. I can ignore it and continue to boot into my system without issues.did I shit my top nvme which holds my boot drive when I fucked up the gpu install causing my system to boot slow?
>>108731185>Fractal Define 7 XLThat's what I'm looking at right now but I wanted a mid tower, full towers are huge. Also no hard drive indicator is uber gay. I like all the things you listed. I'll probably end up getting it.>>108731226>h7 flow 2024Cool design but I'm looking for a classic windowless case. I just keep finding cool cases with little imperfections and annoyances; perforated top panel, small case fans, bottom mounted psu, lackluster IO ports, flimsy front door, overly complicated, etc. I just want a solid cube with big fans in front and in the back, with reasonable IO ports. Current case design is trash, it's all cheap flimsy cases with useless features.
>>108731717Check out the regular Define 7 then. Still no HDD LED, but it's a mid tower and still has one 5.25" bay. The LED part you could probably jerry-rig yourself, it's piss easy electronics.
