> learn to codeWhat's the point? Programmers are getting replaced by AI en masse.
>>108733896We won (aiGODS)
At this point you might as well just get a comfy sysadmin job and coooode for fun. You learned Linux administration at 15 right?
what’s the point of your life? go jump into a geothermal hot spring

>>108733896>replaces 10,000 weavers in your path
>>108733896Sure...any day now...
>>108733896Same reason as ever - it's fun and worth learning in and of itself. If you don't feel that way, there never was a point in time when you should have ever considered studying it in the first place.
>>108734181You could study it to make money though.
>>108735172no one needs more luddites (snailcats)
Who is AI replacing?
>>108735206snailcats (codetrans) "people"
>>108735215And yet, despite AI, there's been no real tech innovation and tech is still dying
>>108735217>And yet, despite AI, there's been no real tech innovation and tech is still dyingcope more, ai is improving on a daily basis and you will be left behind. You are not required anymore

>>108735221The shill can't even provide one meaningful way AI has actually improved tech. Sad !

>>108733931>inoffensiveYou were offended enough to make a meme to clap back about it, faggot.
>>108735269I just make fun of your people, trans
>>108733932>get a comfy sysadmin job and coooode for funWhat kind of delusion is this? I worked as a sysadmin, and all I did was monitor systems while constantly worrying about incidents. I had to keep my phone ready 24/7, getting alerts every hour. And when it comes to scripting, you basically have to rely on AI like you’re juggling multiple tasks at once under the same SLA. You end up needing AI to orchestrate other AI tools, because you don’t even have time to explain anything properly
>>108735206It's replacing people subtly in such a way that low iq people don't see as replacing, like needing less people overall for the jobs, etc.
>>108735350>I worked as a sysadmin, and all I did was monitor systems while constantly worrying about incidents. I had to keep my phone ready 24/7, getting alerts every hourdamn that sucks, companies i've worked for put you on on-call rotation
>>108735361It was a rotation system, but because most people here have already become TAMs for no fucking reason, the TAMs can’t do shit anymore since their operator privileges got stripped. All they can do is manage people and ask whoever is on shift to work, and there are only like 4 non TAM people left
>>108733932Can I actually be a sysadmin if my only experience is tinkering on Linux since I was 15?
>>108735479I got my open-ended support engineer job that way (along with a mostly complete bachelor's degree in CS), it's not like they teach this stuff at school
>>108735172People can and do.But it's only the people with a love for the thing that truly thrive. You can still have a love for doing it even if AI slop is taking over.Shit, you can even use AI slop to make your living while continuing to do real passion projects that are completely hand coded. Learn it for love of the thing.
