Have you used one? I'm scared of carpal tunnel.
The latency would probably be annoying as fuck
>>
i use two between my legs
>>
>>108735510
Do you
>have a confined desk space
>work on spreadsheets all day
No? Don't waste your money.
>>
>>108735510
>Have you used one
yes I use the wired expert for basic browsing and system navigation at my desktop
>The latency would probably be annoying
Just dont use a wireless
>>
>>108735528
i'm talking wired
>>
>>108735510
The precision is more of the issue.

i guess ill just buy one and return it
probably this one since its cheap
>>
>>108735535
You won't experience any perceptible latency if you're using a wired trackball
>>
>>108735581
(You) won't but i will
>>
Unless you're swapping regularly between track ball and normal mouse, don't bother. I'm not sure why people think the ball can't give you RSIs, but it can and will.
>>
>>108735510
I have one and it doesn’t point at things nearly as well as a regular mouse
make sure you get one from a store with an OK return policy
>>
>>108735819
i'm in EU so i can stick it up my ass cover it in shit and theyll have to accept the return anyway
>>
why would there be more latency
>>
>>108735942
because the pollingn rate is low?
>>
I've ordered elecom huge plus from Japan. Still in transit so I can't speak about using it
>>
ploopy has gamer quality sensors and latency in their trackballs.
>ploopy

there's the gameball too.
>>
>>108736061
i'm not gonna finger cancer BPA plastic all day
also
>$100 cad + probably $20 shipping + tip
yeah no
>>
>>108735510
>Have you used one?
Yes. This one >>108735571. It's totally usable as a mouse. Only annoyance is that MMB is rather tricky. Otherwise it's a matter of taste. And don't get that particular one because switches wear out almost immediately and you have to change them.
>I'm scared of carpal tunnel.
Dumb meme. You get carpal from genes or breaking bones. RSI is the thing you're worried about.
>The latency would probably be annoying as fuck
The fuck are you on about. It's literally an optical mouse flipped upside down and ball stands in as the table. Why would there be any kind of latency?
>>
>>108736203
>Why would there be any kind of latency?
i have latency autism i need super fast gaymen mouse to not sperg out
which one would you get? one from op is expensive as motherfucker
>>
>>108736210
From my very brief research months ago it appeared that all gaymen mice used practically the same sensor and everything was marketing fluff. The only standout was Ploopy. Its sensor is best and uses Pi pico, which is overkill for HID.
But maybe someone else is more knowledgeable.
>>
if im lifting my hand from my keyboard i may as well use a mouse. a trackpoint would be ideal but its hard to find a decent keyboard with one
>>
>>108736256
>very brief research
2.5 seconds? single chatgpt prompt? you're fucking retarded gtfo
>>
>>108736282
No, I watched a youtube video, I don't touch that LLM garbage. Also proof?
>>
>>108736293
maybe if you did you wouldnt be this retarded you luddite retard and actual ape
>>
>>108736303
what about ...le gameball
https://www.gamingtrackball.com/products/gameball-thumb-standard-edition
>>
>>108736373
i dont want thumb operated one they look uncomfortable as hell
forgot it even existed
pretty chheap for such a niche product
>>
>>108736377
The thumb is a rebadged chink ball, there are plenty of other chinkballs you can buy cheaper from companies like Nulea. They're all shit, while the regular gameball was designed and built in the first world so it's far more expensive but not dogshit.

Aside from Gameball and L-trac, everything else is a third world product designed by third worlders. Literally in the case of Kensington, their latest trackball was so fundamentally flawed they had to pull it off the shelves a few days after launch.
>>
>>108735535
you are too stupid to use a trackball
>>
>>108735510
To avoid carpal tunnel, avoid using a high mouse speed/dpi. Move your arm, not your wrist, like professional artists do.
>>
>>108736000
Based fellow huge balls enjoyer. I just ordered the regular HUGE a few days ago, never had a trackball before. I don’t really have any issues using a mouse, but the idea of using a trackball seems interesting so i thought i’d give it a shot.
