not feeling good :(
Sucks to suck.
>>108738711>7732 Power On Hours>58TBWI regularly download large LLMs for testing and then delete 9/10 of them and I'm nowhere near that bad a ratio. What the fuck are you doing to be burning through your main drive like that?
>47CWhy is it so hot? Mine are at 30C and 33C (next to video card)
>>108738711Even at 0%, Samsung SSDs (the high quality ones with DRAM) can continue to write petabytes of data. TBW rating is just a warranty purposes.
>>108739099NVME drives ACTUALLY prefer idling around 45-55C.
>>108738711Impressive, I thought mine was pretty high but it seems insignificant in comparison.
>>108738711Pathetic
>>108738711>Load it up >Tune starts playing AAAAAAAAACK
>>108738711Yeah, it fucking blows that they wear out. But the endurance is better than in the past, even on cheapo drives.II think when I built my first gaming rig out of college in 2016 I put in this Intel 530 SSD or something like that, little 120GB, put all my games on a 500GB NVME my mate bought me as a Christmas present. By 2022 that drive was worn down to 54% or something.I bought a Latitude 5420 last year and it just went down from 100% to 99%. The prices for 1tb NVME drives are retarded just like any other thing made of silicon and transistors, you used to be able to get Samsungs on sale for like, 99 USD for 1 TB. I have a 2TB model 990 I got on sale for 139. Those days won't come soon, if ever, again.
>>108738711looks like I'm headed in a pretty similar direction in terms of ratioI seem to recall that setting up Firefox to run on a ramdisk helps so maybe it's time to do that
What the high score?
Not too bad. Intel 512GB SSD.
>>108738711looks fine, wtf are you complaining about?
>>108741099I don't let drives run more than ~100,000 hours.I decommissioned my 5x4TB drives that were all in the 85-100k hour range and replaced them with two 22TB drives.
How am I doing?
>>108741316it doesn't even glitch. i made sure when I got it, to read up on them. They said 3 platter drives failed faster than 2 platters, so get a 2 platter. I read up and that one was a 2 platter. It runs slower, yes. it is 7200rpm on paper. I read the earlier ones were so slow they considered them really 5400rpm. But this i think was the 2nd iteration. there was a 3rd I think.Never glitches. I keep all my music backed up on it. Doesn't do much else but download pron and my music warez. Couple of old youtube videos backed up on it. IDK, it'll NEVER die. knock on woodanyway, what was you all talking about? NVME? Whats the point here about them? temps? % the program tells you about it is at? idfk
