What do you use your server for?
>>108741039send threatening emails and texts to all my ex's, but also begging them to forgive me and take me back.
>>108741284thiswhat the hell else would you use an agent for. sure as hell not anything you’d actually want done right
>>108741039everytime I look on youtube to try to find use cases for OpenClaw it's just the same 3 youtubers telling me "10x" with very little contextthere has to be something more interesting than sending emails and editing calendars
>>108741479Youtubers are just shills. If they knew how to build anything useful they would doing that.
>>108741039letting an AI do shit autonomously sounds like a recipe for disaster
>>108741039>All from WhatsApp, Telegramthis has to be the most thirdie thing i've ever read
>>108741039If you need "agents" to do that stuff you're hopelessly retarded.
>>108741039Techdomming me while making me call her mommy
>>108741284I do this manually to a girl I talked to off 4chan. It's pretty funny. I have pixel trackers in all my emails so I know she clicks them. I keep telling her to stop opening my emails and I'll stop sending them but apparently she just can't help herself. She never replies though. Oh well.
>>108741571Still safer and more efficient than jeets.
I don't understand much about OpenClaw or Hermes or whatever the fuck these agents are, all I know is that a lot of people warn against running these in your computer, and then suggest solutions like running these on a headless separate machine or a VPS. But I don't understand the purpose of that either. To better work with it, wouldn't you want to have it integrated in your system? But that's dangerous. See, maybe the better option is just not to fucking use it at all?
>>108741039>lets give bullshit generators control of the operating system!
>>108743929they're autonomous, after they've been given instructionsI know that sounds similar to a traditional script, and it is, but... I've forgotten my point
>>108742240>anon hasn't heard of email clients preloadingUnless your pixel is behind a URL she has to manually click I've got bad news for you
>>108743990Can't he just see the google user agent then.
>>108741039just as a replacement for web chatbots where i can switch out the LLM and maintain all the context/memory/conv history on my own pc. currently running it with a free stepfun-ai/step-3.5-flash from nvidia (great balance of benchmarks, speed, token limits and being free) but i also have a Qwen3.6 27B on my main gaming desktop i can plug into it or a small and very slow Qwen3.5-4B im running on a cpu on an orangepi-5 as backup.the main benefit i got from this is learning how to set it up i got it running on a docker-swarm running on 2 computers (small low power raspberry pi 5 and orange pi 5) with a gateway allowing me to talk to it on telegram, a local webserver i can use to talk to it over my home wifi from a browser and i also wanna add a tailscale VPN so i can connect to it in cli/TUI away from home.
>>108743952>>108743929theyre fairly secure, unless you explicitly connect them and let them fuck around with important shit i dont see how you'd have any problem.personally i run it on a raspberry pi in a docker container but ive even managed to run it on an old phone-turned-server (podroid)
>>108744065>theyre fairly secure, unless you explicitly connect them and let them fuck around with important shit i dont see how you'd have any problem.I'm too much of a brainlet for this shit. I'd have it at least connected to my local network and it's apparently a security nightmare.
>>108741284foids dont know how to use secure clients like thunderbird ig
>>108744147if you're worried about security just turn off all the tools/skills, only add shit you've manually reviewd or something. 95% of the time i only use its web search and virutal-browser features just telling it to go summerize some webpage for me so i can ask it questions
>>108744279isn't there some risk of getting banned from websites? people don't like automatic scrapersand what if there's cloudflare or captcha checks
>>108741571I mean, there's been quite a few cases already of this going south.
>>108744293the whole point of those headless browsers is to send the same requests a normal browser would.im sure you would get banned from shit if you overdid scraping but ive never had issues with the default settings of hermes.you can customize it, use remove cloud-browser services or local ones if you wish
>>108744065Tell me more about podroid. I’ve been screwing around w android 12 TV based server using termux. Since RPi got unreasonably expensive I’ve shifted to screwing around with old consumer electronics and picked up a couple old android phones to mess with.
>>108744065This?https://github.com/ExTV/Podroid
>>108744394>>108744362yesim ssh'd into one now (although this is a piece of shit samsung A50 too weak to do anything with) but in general it runs an alpine VM inside a regular apk app so you get full regular linux where you can run shit that requires root. where's termux is just a terminal to your regular android system and those often run very old kernels (on this old phone its kernel 4 something and on my samsung s22 its 5.10)
>>108741284>this is baitWhose?
>>108744065>secureahahahahaha
>>108741039I don't use this shit and have no desire to.
>>108744484fpbp
>>108741039does anyone really go to an airport having trusted OpenClaw to 'check in for them'. I'd rather show up driving a meth lab.
All I need is this:>Something loosely similar to claude sonnet>Not shitting itself with one little prompt >Not paying more than the 20 bucks anthropic asks every monthI am no programmer, I don't even use this shit every day let alone to the extent some motherfuckers here do, I don't want automated nothing, I sometimes ask stupid stuff that I could probably get an answer for in this board, I sometimes use it for simple bash scripts or some CSS tweaks for a shitty website, and that is about it. Maybe some translations but I found better tools for that shit than AI chatbots in general.
>>108744632Ideally, you run local. If you can’t run local run deep seek. The API cost for one, 100 the blood Anthropic charges.
