There is no objective downside to terminalmaxxing and debloating.
>far more depth of control and convenience, what seems inconvienient at first
>can make your 20+ year old PC usable
>can run over intermittent networks with extreme lag
>can improve performance on the latest hardware running the latest software
>fewer concerns about backups/installation
>fewer concerns about desktop/distro/OS choice
>fewer thoughts about whats really happening

These days, I mostly alt-tab between Firefox and Terminator. Sometimes, I open a game - or even an LO document, tho I normally use Vim & Python over Writer & Calc.
