How do you even use this site without it?

QT framework sucks and is bloated

Maybe so, but i prefer it, and it doesn't require any patches to do what i want it to.

I wouldn't trust KDE in 2026, GTK is lighter and that means you can run the entire source tree more vaibly through a locally hosted model and look for security issues/backdoors. The smaller the codebase and the easier it is to understand, the better. Working towards zero trust, you have to eventaully be able to (or find someone who can ) understand ASM and so on.

Thankfully I don't have to finish this shit

What for? Modern Firefox versions open the new GNOME file picker, which is actually like GNOME Files and shows thumbnails without any patches

Lol no. KDE is faster than Gnome

I don't use GNOME, I use openbox which is definitely faster than both

I don't use gnome but I still hold the opinion that the file picker is not actually a good way to pick files compared to drag and drop from a standalone file explorer. The picker is the minimal fallback, not the good primary.
I don't even want my file picker to be invoked, I drag everything out of VoidTool's Everything (search index program).
