can photoshop make non-destructive editable bubble text?

>non-destructive
You genuinely seem to mean well beaver, but can GIMP make a nondestructive simple stroke outline (think black outline, white size 72pt Impact meme shit) on text? Without needing to write a script? Because it can't. I had to rasterize my fucking text, select the solid area, increase selection by 3 PX, make a new layer, throw it underneath the text, and make it black.

Meanwhile in Photoshop I just tick the fucking stroke box under blending options.

I never understood why it can't do this. Did Adobe fucking patent stroke outlines?

affinity and gimp are dogshit

Just use Photoshop CS2. You own it for life, no subscription needed, and it does what you need it to do.

the last stable is photoshop CS6 portable
although CS3 portable is still good
