The way Yanks behave I'm surprised there's any foot left to shoot at this point.

Like really, I applaud the idea of wanting to revitalize local industry, but tariffing the input goods you need to get said industry off the ground at the same time? Pottery.
>>
>>108750441
they have not industry policy at all, and no i dont mean its a bad one or too small, it doesn’t exist, its completely retarded
i know some companies trying to open a plant there to avoid tariffs and they dont understand what is going on, there is nothing to actually help those companies get there

Theoretically good, but there are costs. Maybe short term costs, maybe longer. Combined with the unpredictability due to the political flip-flopping, this might be pretty bad for small businesses.
>>
its because a huge amount of chinese industry lie about US/EU spec certification, actually only follow their own CE standards which are equivalent to the garbage the US was doing in the 1950s, and lie about those results too
>>
>>108750419
What the fuck is happening with English-speaking nations that they all behave extra retarded?

>UK turned into hell hole where drawing anime girl is more illegal than raping and murdering children.
>USA is going back to stone age while attempting to start a war with everyone.
>Australia already is a fucking disgrace forgotten by God.
>>
these articles are coming up occasionally about the usa banning this or that thing from china and my actual feelings are that most of these things should never have been off-shored in the first place.
if they historically hadn't been outsourced to pinch a penny and this headline read "usa to outsource majority of electronics testing to china" i cannot help but feel the same people thinking "omg what is the usa doing" would think "omg what is the usa doing".

A surprising confluence of a lack of epistemic humility in the face of overwhelming lead poisoning and a geriatric ruling class.

this is because chinese labs wouldn't let mossad spyware through as (((safe)))

Pretty much this.
I know we're all comfortable with our cheap chinkshit but all of this was ill-gotten and short sighted.

It's called the new world order sweetie, elites have been having wet dreams about it for a few thousand years now and we finally have the technology to make it possible. You will see the world of your childhood as just a cloudy fever dream by the time you're in your old age.

Yeah but you see they vooooted for it. That's democracy at work goy. You don't want to go against the will of the people o algo, right? The great and mighty American people want to pay more for everything because China bad o algo. Kek

CCP SPYWARE GOOD
NSA SPYWARE BAD

See how silly you sound
>>
>>108751844
>CCP SPYWARE GOOD
>NSA SPYWARE BAD
If you're the average American citizen, yes, the CCP is thousands of kilometres away from you and don't give a shit about you unless you have access to military secrets, while the NSA is spying on you(and also people outside America) right now.
>>
>>108751880
>the CCP is thousands of kilometres away from you and don't give a shit about you
lmfao yeah that's why they regularly target and gang stalk political dissenters in the US, good job outing yourself using "kilometres" by the way
>>

They're Taiwan/Tibet activists, right? Not exactly the average American.

It's called being BASED.

Didn't China report that there were spyware from USA/Israel/Mossad not too long ago? Are they revoking China's privileges of certifying electronic devices because they ACTUALLY found spyware and reported on it?

The U.S. economy is base on resource trading. Either in land, housing, or oil/natural resources. Everything is a derivative of those basic things, so when you attempt to create a system of productivity that threatens or competes with the established order of ownership over labor you get shutdown pretty quickly.

In the U.S. market you're competing against massive pyramid schemes that subvert all tiers of government. You don't "build a manufacturing center" you buy a community to destroy with indentured servitude that is tied to the land through mortgages and leases on property. Then you give them something to do while you exploit them.

So yeah, you're not going to buy a fiefdom for cheap in the U.S.

You guys still, somehow, seem unaware or unwilling to see how this current US government works. They're putting this ban in place so specific companies can bribe their way back into the orange king's good graces. It's all a grift.
For first example, see Netgear:
https://www.pcmag.com/news/netgear-scores-the-first-exemption-from-the-fccs-foreign-made-router-ban
>>
>>108750419
Uhh isn't this just common sense?

>Every device that emits radio frequencies requires FCC equipment authorization before it can be legally sold in the U.S. That process requires testing by an FCC-recognized lab, and manufacturers have long relied on Chinese labs because they sit next to the factories that produce the hardware.

How the fuck was that ever legal in the first place?
Yeah bro let the Chinese enforce US Regulations on themselves. LMAO.
>>
>>108750419
Remember, every accusation is a confession
>>
This isn't about bringing back manufacturing, it's about making sure the lower castes don't have access to technology anymore.
>>
>>108754181
why does the FCC even have the authority to certify radio equipment for sale? in what universe should broadcasting radio waves not be considered protected speech?

specifically the stance was that through globalization the US would shift to a services industry but leave actually "making" things to other countries where they could apply their specialties (slave labor) to drive prices down
this was an elitist viewpoint pushed by pencil necks who don't know where their steaks come from and why the toilet is so clean despite blowing it up every day

anyone who had ever really worked for a living would know those claims were bullshit. not everyone is suited to work in a service industry. certain industries are strategic and required for an empire to survive independently
>>
Long-term pain for long-term gain.
America is doing this so Florida and Texas can build factories to do all these things.

I don't know if it always works. Brazil has tariffed video games for ages but it never fixed their video game industry. So it doesn't always work, but american exceptionalism would make it work?
>>
>>108751464
1-2 actually
One child policy crippled china more than anything else ever could have so 2027-28 will be the high water mark for China's strength relative to their probable opponents to them invading Taiwan
The absolute state of their primary rival just pushes the timetable up
We wont see a landing in October since they don't have enough time to build the needed landing craft, but next April is a distinct possibility
Because it needs physical boats to be built, we'll see the invasion preparation half a year ahead of time
>>
>>108751927
>political dissenters in the US
I'm not a chink, not my problem.
>>
>>108750419
This is just a roundabout way of doing tariffs.
>>
>>108754900
>russia tries to attack ukraine, gets btfo by drones and the war turns into a stalemate
>america tries to attack iran, gets btfo by drones and the war turns into a stalemate
if china still goes ahead with an invasion after seeing what happened to the other world powers they're fucking retarded
>>
>>108754975
key difference is that Ukraine is fuckmassive and Russia a corrupt mess
and the US hasn't set foot on Iranian soil, they're just shitflingng at each other impotently
Taiwan on the other hand is tiny, and the chinese have more than enough soldiers and total disregard for human life to bury them if they can capture a port intact
even today a landing is anybody's game
>>
>>108754900
They'd still need to pull off a dozen D-Days simultaneously if they don't want to create a meat grinder. I doubt that'll be possible before they start to decline.
Plus, Ukraine has shown that you don't need a military industrial complex the size of a small country to defend against a superpower. Drones are not invincible counters to everything, but they can be hilariously cheap counters for rather expensive hardware. Taiwan is probably taking notes.
>>
>>108751772
They really couldn't hire a more competent artist?
>>
>>108751880
they're companies anon. they're still selling all of your data they collect by spying on you, and not just to chinese companies, but on the exact same marketplace to the exact same buyers american companies are. there is no improvement you get out of using chinese shit.
>>
>>108750419
Americans really can't accept the fact China is going to surpass them soon
>>
>>108750419
I tell you, right now is a great time for an American company to get into manufacturing of chips and other electronics. The first one to jump in and produce product to sell is going to make so much cash and will dominate the market for some time.

>>108750419
