For the love of god can someone please tell me what formats/codecs 4chan ACTUALLY supports? I know it can accept SOME mp4s in addition to just webms but it's not fucking clear how to encode these shits so that it works. Standard h264 doesn't seem to work.

Ok, 4chanX now won't play any webm's and not only that there isn't even a link above the video to at least open it in a new tab on it's own. Click on the video and it does nothing, doesn't expand doesn't play.
>>108750431My honest advice is to look for other places that allow you to post AV1 videos. Even if you do manage to figure it out, H264 uploads here look like ass because of the restrictive 4MB filesize limit here. VP9 videos can look a little better but holy fuck is encoding them slow as balls.
