Are smart watches useful
>>

yep to spy on and track you definitely

Practically? If you do sports.
Socially?
If you work a job with high profile meetings but need to stay connected. Taking out a phone is generally seen as exciting the situation mentally. Checking your watch is more low key.
Outside of that it's not a useful technology but I think the aforementioned are very valid.

Which sports? Swimming? Surfing? Martial arts? Skiing? You can't use them for any of those for various reasons.

No, another e-waste crap stealing your limited time. Get Casio LCW you like and mark this thread solved.

You have a clock on your phone which you carry with yourself 24/7 anyway. Everything beyond that is retarded consumer drone behavior.

I use mine with a dedicated esim, so yes, I dont need the phone anymore most of the times I dont carry the phone

Fine for exercise. Otherwise get a nice analog watch. Even nice looking Seikos are only a few hundred and make you look like a man instead of a faggot.

Emergency call is nice for open water swims, also nice to have a maps back up if bike touring if yoyr phone dies- but it will block your map function during such time if your bike rim is bent, your phone has no juice and your in a foreign country unless yoy have your phone to sign unto google for the nth random time so i cant vouch for its robustness

Here's an idea. You shouldn't have to figure out or ask why something would be useful to you. It should be obvious.

If you can't readily determine why it would be useful, it's probably not (to you anyway).

I use mine to track how many hours I sleep every night. It's pretty accurate for what it is and helps me get the amount of sleep I need.

i like them for custom watch faces, i do like the sleep/step tracking. i have a garmin the battery lasts like a week+ ive had android wear watches before but hate them due to the short battery life
