Thinking about switching to the apple ecosystemI have been a strong critic of apples walled garden since forever but more and more in recent times I cant help but notice apple just continously keeps making the best product in every single category, (phone, notebook, smartwatch, earphones) I'm now actually considering committing to the switch, since im poor it would be a gradual replacement of all my many different devices to apple devices when they break, still im going to be locked in from the first apple device I buy since that would be the main reason to go with the massive price premium You either go full apple or you dont bother at all.So should I bite into the apple what's the consensus here?
>>108751318sure bro get a 17e and a slopbook neo and u gon be fine.
>>108751351I'm not that poor, I only get top of the line stuff, so pro max and MacBook pro m5 max, I just can't get them both at once
You kind of missed the boat. I had the same thoughts last year and got the $499 mac mini as a tester but they don't offer that price now. So Neo is your best bet but it will be more like a Chromebook tier in terms of specs.I'd say get the M5 Air, the 13.3" is only $900 and it's pretty solid specs wise.
>>108751362I want the MacBook to replace my desktop so I'd probably get the m5 pro/ max
i kinda need a mac mini desktop but dunno if the mini m5 will get removable ssd with the new ceo change or not. if not i prolly get a second hand mini.
>>108751373Well I started my teenage years off as a Mac/Apple hater. Android (Galaxy) phone and PC. Eventually switched to iPhone for iTunes and never went back because the experience is just smoother and consistent and every time I touch an Android phone now it's gaudy and cluttered. But I was still a PC maxi, and a .NET/C# dev to boot so pretty firmly engrained in the Windows ecosystem. At some point the Windows bloat became too overbearing in my life so I gave the mac mini a try and it was once again refreshing to have something that just works snappily with no lag or ui weirdness and rare forced updates, certainly no freezing and crashing like I was getting with my gaming pc. So my next move up will probably be a Mac Air or Macbook.I mean I know it's associated with fags and a gay aesthetic but whatever, it just works, it's smooth, it makes me happy, I'll stick with them until they too enshittify (hopefully never happens).
>>108751318your life will improve a lot but people on /g/ will post anime troon pictures and laugh at youyour choice

>>108751359You don't need pro max.The shitty fans in the 16 inch version can't cool it, you need Mac Studio if you want to run MAX chip.Their best laptop is the 16 inch pro base version, cpu have the same amount of cores as the max version, the only difference are the gpu cores.
hardware is genuinely good, software has slowly become shit over the past 5-8 yearsjust pray ternus does a good job
