That's bullshit doe. It's more like
>try installing program from default app store
>error something something cannot acquire lock not gonna tell you what's actually wrong and what to do even though it happens to millions of people every day and we know it
>sudo try installing program from default app store
>program not found

>try to install the same program again
>the cuck who maintains the custom own app store removed the version you installed 3 months ago because he's mentally ill and thinks it's le security

>>
>>108753490
After 15 years of fucking around with both macOS and linux (and using windows mostly) I figured out that it's all just pure disdain, the retardation comes from that. The "I can't do this here" comes from "I don't want to do this here but I need an excuse". macOS is surprisingly malleable but because Apple put the retard protections front and center, and the OS looks toddlery, and it has way too many gooey applications (a lot of them paid unfortunately) it's like a gigantic fucking filter.

You are on the bottom of the food chain because not even Microsoft treats their users with this level of humiliation/

This is the type of bullshit that people accuse Microsoft of, yet here we have Applefags proudly defending being treated like second class citizens on their own computers. Fucking hilarious.

My nigger in christ you have ads in the fucking toolbar and in the start menu
you can in fact disable the whole gatekeeper subsystem entirely and rawdog whatever you want. MacOS isn’t locked down in the least, it’s pretty much a linux distro. It’s the ios / ipados that are toylike.
Not that you hace any fucking clue what you’re even talking about when you’re a winbab, you deserve no less than dealing with win11 straightjacket for the next decade

Complaining that MacOS treats you like a retard is retarded. The average Mac user would get pwned within a year if Apple didn't bend over backwards to protect them from themselves.
>>
>>108753737
>The average Mac user
is a codemonkey or some creative fag
Normies own neither desktops nor laptops in $current_year, smartphones is all they need. The exception is gaymers, and gaymers certainly aren’t using macs.

I’d bet good money that macbook users have the highest tech competence out of all laptop users on average (linux laptops suck and microdick actively sabotaged them with power states), just as linux desktop users have the highest tech competence out of all desktop users on average (power efficiency is irrelevant)
>>
>>108753776
Some normies still own laptops and Macbooks are their usual go-to unless price is an object. The 8GB laptop Apple shat out recently has been selling like gangbusters.
>I’d bet good money that macbook users have the highest tech competence out of all laptop users on average
You can tell yourself this if you want but we both know it isn't true.

>>
>>108753794
>The 8GB laptop Apple shat out recently has been selling like gangbusters.
Hmm, that’s a fair point

My overall point is that microslop is the default for retarded boomers that just buy some shitass laptop at walmart, shovelware and all, and nobody really uses linux laptops since they all shit the bed with hibernation/sleep sooner or later so most of it is ancient machines that use linux as an alternative to tossing them away (there’s tens of thousands laptops like that given out for people who want them in a ~charity I lived next to in austria). By process of elimination you’re left with macbooks that have tons of software devs, designers etc which drag the average upwards, especially since there just aren’t that many normies using macbooks outside of college (which probably are also above average)

I haven’t really taken into account apple going for the poorfags to lock them into the ecosystem, that’s very new. I’d still argue that macbooks are probably ahead right now, but this will probably change before long if apple continues with neo

>>108753855
Anon, there's a lot of software out there that isn't malware but hits as false positive. (You) can create software that's detected as a horrible harmful tool by microsoft without the intention to ever harm yourself with it.

I would say an example about how macOS is becoming more of a retard tool is shortcuts.
Automator already exists so this is only needed for people who are really incompetent. And the funniest thing is that not even automator is that difficult to use (specially not now that you have AI tools that directly give you what you need).

I’ve been writing shell scripts for over a decade now and I can’t make heads or tails out of shortcuts
For some reason the way it works is an order of magnitude more difficult to me than good old scripting, nothibg makes any fucking sense in the shortgut creation wizard and they don’t produce actual code so you can’t even ai slop the fucking things
automator any day

Maybe... because it's a pile of projects but at the same time there's gold in it, you look at some depulication software like detwinner, and think "holy shit some proprietary asshole would charge a fucking license key for this motherfucker on windows or mac because it's so well done."
