Just need a few more parts. I'll be buying RAM last. I bought a used 3080 12gb for cheap and will use that for a bit, but I'm going to replace it with a arc pro b70 a few weeks from now since I want to do local AI in addition to gaming

>>108754186
he also didn't want to put the pc on a platform because he didn't want his carpet to take damage from something heavy sitting on it all the time with pressure and all that which i understand. the psu might run a bit hotter than on a normal floor but there is no option for a clean floor since that would involve ripping out the floor again so this is the best solution. the pc also doesn't have a dedicated gpu so it's fine and also over kill since i had and somewhat new corsair psu from my old pc.

I might 3d print a figure Riku or just order something actually waifu related. Recommend me some cases that might actually fit this panel (height being the pain point)

- removes heat faster from the CPU with circulating water
- provides a greater heat sink capacity and a greater surface for heat dissipation
- allows fans to spin slower over that greater surface for same cooling effect
- fans need not spin up on every spike in CPU temp if adjusted to water temp or radiator temp
- frees the space around the socket from a behemoth of air cooler that hinders access to headers and DIMMs
>>
>>108755269
Is it that definitive? All I remember from a decade ago is how water cooled systems explode and ruin everything. I was planning to get a Noctua NH-D15 G2 next but I'm starting to think otherwise. Is water cooling retard proof now?

It wasn't fake news. aio coolers have only existed for a little over decade and the originals had a heap of manufacturing defects mostly centered around the pumps. Those problems were solved almost immediately, but because they were new in the market everybody had their eyes on them and the legacy of the first batches if aios from early adopters lives on. It's almost hard to believe now but aios were supposed to be a replacement for waterblocks not air coolers. That's why you see them still being offered on gpus. It was always a quick alternative to a custom loop not a "traditional air cooler".
>>
>>108755598
Yeah, it's interesting how many fake things have started coming in after ai became cheap.

mainly because tariffs.
stores WERE waiting on restocking inventory until they had to because they would have to pay tariffs so weren't incentivized to sell through stock but now tariffs are no longer legal they might start offering better deals.
stores are also sitting on inventory they purchased during the tariffs so aren't incentivized to sell it until they get their refunds.

outside the US, cases and PSUs are good value.

Fact is they're bleeding. I guess it's deer in the headlights.

I mean, I'm not going to buy their nos, you want it? I won't even want it used at firesale prices, since the styles will be like "nice" (looks dumb).

Fractal is a great example. Every one of those looks "special"

picrel. ebin. I unironically will use the motherboard box over that thing.

Prices will only get worse because of the Strait of Hormuz shit going on.

Anons I think I fucked up my old pc's parts and I'm kicking myself because I could really use that pc in working shape right now.

MSI Z190 Gaming 6
Intel Core i5-6600K
16gb DDR4
500gb Samsung 850?(I forget something era appropriate)

Anyways it had been struggling to turn on for awhile now and I think I know why. This PC ran for years without issue being cooled by a noctua D-14. When I built my new pc I swapped that cooler over and pulled one of those $20 rgb coolermaster tower coolers out of stock for this. When trying to install said cooler I found that it didnt work with the cpu latch mechanism in the way. So in the process of trying to install the tower coolers backplate (yes it came with one) I removed the mobos stock latch mechanism and found... hey this cooler does work, sans mobo cpu latch mechanism.

It worked for awhile though over time it started not starting with power button press. I took this to be a faulty power button or some mobo grounding issue. I could usually eventually get it to start by shorting the mobo power header with a screwdriver etc but over time it became a real pita taking dozens of attempts.

NOW in hindsight I'm pretty sure I have a cpu/pin interface on the mobo contact or pressure issue. I've removed it and taken a gander at the pins, they seem ok. Reinstalling it not too tightly hasn't yielded a change in non-start behavior. Should I crank this shit down? Anyone who's worked with one of these $20 coolermaster 212 sku's pls chime in with what worked for you.

LG demos 5K@120Hz 27" Striped RGB OLED at trade show:
https://www.theverge.com/tech/923831/lg-display-has-a-27-inch-5k-oled-monitor-panel-at-sid
>It is also demonstrating a 27-inch OLED panel that achieves 5K resolution at 220 PPI, featuring a newly designed RGB stripe structure that enhances the aperture ratio. This improves color clarity and precision while minimizing distortion such as color bleeding and fringing.
This will probably be the base SKU to meet Apple's Next-gen Retina Studio Display XDR and compete against the 27" 5K QD-OLED Samsung demo'd at CES 2025 next year. It's clear manufacturers are all going to attack the last major image quality weaknesses of OLED over LCD being pixel density and subpixel layout.
LG still have that 27" 4K Striped RGB OLED coming out this year (and TCL CSOT's own 27" 4K RGB inkjeted OLEDs will go into mass production in Juy:
