honestly i love linux on playstations. did it on ps2, ps3 with the official support when it existed, and i bet its just as fun to mess around with on ps5. i have the official ps2 linux keyboard and mouse which are cool oddities.
No, because it relies on exploiting security vulnerabilities just to get Linux running to begin with. The PS5 solely designed with their proprietary FreeBSD-based distro in mind. Sony doesn't have Linux drivers for it and you cannot expect them to make them either.The Steam Machine is a much better Linux machine because it was designed for Linux.

However if you don't own either, just by any modern deck handheld that runs actual OSes and use that as your portable or desktop or what ever you want it to be.I have a legion go and I can run steam is on it, emulate Ps, Nintendo etc games on it and it can be used as a desktop or laptop.Handheld computers that could run actual OSes is what we always asked for.
