unironically i have had multiple experiences in a professional environment (well, as professional as software devs get which is not very) where someone's brought up that not using dark mode is an obvious tell if someone is going to be an underperformer.

Light themes + well-lit room is always the way to go health wise.
Night light exists for a reason as well, and you should always have an ambient light/lamp at night turned on.
