Many jobs are gradually being phased out: translators, analysts, data entry, customer service, designers, models, artists, drivers, etc.

no one needs to know how to efficiently store balls and dodecahedrons together in a box, there is no economic value in all these long forgotten "solvable" math problems. They stayed on the backburner because that is where they belonged, only autists were looking into them and even they didn't want to do the leg work.
