When do you think sex robots will be a thing?Do you think that we'll have the technology for them soon?
>>108755678I think we're there already, but the people who would develop the full package are the sort to never be satistied. We already have Chinese milking machines that 95% of the male population could have installed in their bathroom and never complain about.
>>108755678we have it right now, but no companies are producing them
>>108755678>sex robotsStop being so childish. Grow the fuck up.
>>108755713Damn... I can only imagine the excitement when the engineers were testing this. I think it's sad that this isn't more common spread.>>108755715Why is that? Wouldn't the market be fairly good for stuff like this?>>108755729I've been a man-child for so long I wouldn't know where to start haha
>>108755678do you honestly think there will be a billions of dollars worth of market for sex bots when people with money can just.. you know find a person? I'm not skeptical of the tech eventually getting there but I feel like it just will never happen due to market size
>>108755713realistically we are still far behind on compute/power/programming efficiency to have automatic control of a humanoid robot that can move and communicate in any realistic wayif you want an automated masturbator, they are pretty cheap nowadaysbut putting that into something that can walk around is quite far out
>>108755713these things are not that hard to get ahold of
>>108755767Where the fuck do you "find a person?" And what are you referring to when talking about money and people? Prostitution? Prostitution is illegal and carries risks with the law and STDs. And if you meant with finding a romantic partner, we're literally in the biggest crisis of human connection in our modern age. Idk if you were born in 1973 but now it's much harder to find human connection than it was back then, especially if you're looks are less than desirable.
>>108755766>Why is that? Wouldn't the market be fairly good for stuff like this?extremely expensive and complicated to produce, and there most likely aren't any companies that want to potentially risk their branding by producing them, and most people probably don't want the world to know they are interested in this sort of thing. there is of course a huge market for this, but most consumers in it are not very wealthy
>buttplug.io>sillytavern>sorcery (https://github.com/p-e-w/sorcery)you could probably have a LLM jerk you off at least
>>108755784The most soulless shitholy fuck just use your hand if its that bad and women aren't availablecan't believe the fuckheads who get something like this
clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank clank
>>108755824why are you so mad?
>>108755824t. has never tried oneeven a bare tenga is so ahead of hands it's not even funny
>>108755824The handheld no, but if I could have a powered easy to clean onahole mounted in the wall I'd pay good money for it.Think of it, it makes it so easy to wake up with morning wood, have a drink of water, cum, piss, shit, and shower. Fuck I could have a networked coffee maker that starts brewing when I turn on the dick wrangler and really streamline my morning.
>>108755824>holy fuck just use your hand if its that bad and women aren't availableNot everyone are content with just there hands amigo. And if you truly are then good for you. However, for the rest of us who aren't this is more than a healthy way to deal with the lack of women in our lives. But if you're some normalfag that does have a gf you fuck, gtfo this conversation isn't for you
>>108755862I...seriously couldn't see it. I mean, go ahead I guess, but it seems so soulless and fucked. I guess I just don't care for sexual pleasure.>>108755864nah I'm a 32 year old permavirgin KHV too
>>108755815Yeah I don't think we're far away from having a turnkey agentic thing that does some basic household tasks, greets you when you come home, and provides some mild JOI. Which is all most people would want I think. If you want some lifestyle robosexual shit, that might be a while.
>>108755883so you don't actually care about it yet want to police people over ita microcosm of current society in a nutshell
>>108755883I get you, I used to be really chill sexually until I stopped drinking regularly. Once I stopped waking up hungover every morning I started having an uncomfortable boner problem around 7AM every fucking day and I'd love to have a quick semen release tool in my bathroom to keep my day on task.
>>108755798>prostitution is illegal and what about STDs!and yet it is still the oldest surviving industry alive. You can argue that maybe a sex robo prostitution market might arise for people that's afraid to go outside but my question still stands, will there be a large enough market to build the robots, constantly churned out of factories. I'm genuinely asking for opinion not being sarcastic btw cause I'm also honestly uncertain albeit more pessimistic
>>108755920You could always rely on private enterprises accommodating for niche consumers iirc there were plans for a robot brothel in Amsterdam although i don't know how that ended
>>108755920Right, I'm guessing sex robots are probably going to arise at the same time as humanoid household robots(if that ever happens) because if the household robot can do simple but relatively complicated tasks such as cleaning the house and doing dishes, then how hard would it be to take that same design and implement it for a different purpose such as sex acts? Sexual acts are much less complicated than household chores and I'm guess adding "accessories/mods" to an already existing humanoid robot wouldn't be that difficult if the time comes.
>>108755947godspeed for them>>108755957yeah I suppose we'll have to go through the 'housekeeper' robot hurdle first. I can maybe see a light at the tunnel where we'll have to 'jailbreak' all purpose bots than actually relying on industry to make a specific sex bot

>>108755678They'd probably be outlawed in the west, something about unrealistic standards unfair competition or whatever.
>>108755678Humanoid robots are lame, ineffective and fail at even basic tasks like walking a straight line. Giving a robot access to your dick seems like a nice way to get immediately and brutally castrated. Also, we know that all these supposedly "AI powered" robots are actually controlled by Indians in mocap. Do you really want to have cybersex with an Indian guy?>>108755713 Is right - we already have milking machines and high-end sex toys.
put bot frame into silicone rubber skin.
>>108755713ew. is that really what happens inside a human vagina?
>>108755729Woman spotted
>>108755678you can fuck slutty 20yo zoomers for like $20 in weed, why would you want robots for it?
>>108755678they exist, and the supply is proportionate to the demandI get that some people really really want them, so much that they regard it as akin to a universal right, and this kinda skews their perceptions, they can't imagine other people not wanting them, so the scarcity is a mystery

>>108755824but if a woman gets a sex machine or the big black cock thruster 9000 you would have no problem with it and perhaps be attracted
>>108756559those things are already pretty heavynow you have to put an even heavier battery and heavy powerful servos to move itnow you have a small half a ton walking death machine that feels nothing on its silicon body and can crush all your bones without noticing
>>108759203they're only heavy because they have a metal skeleton embedded in them, it will be the same weight you lireally have no idea what you're talking about the unitree r1 only weights 29kg with battery. also here's a chinese robot hand company https://www.reuters.com/world/china-robot-hand-building-unicorn-linkerbot-targets-6-billion-valuation-2026-05-04/
>>108755784>gluck gluck 9000i will never buy anything that's named like this
>>108759235oh yeah the unitree r1the most fuckable robot everI just want to grab onto that hard plastic shell and rub my dick on it until it bleedstry putting on the fuck ton of silicone rubber on it to make it a remotely usable sex doll, dumb ass
>>108759310you have the memory of a goldfish, dipshit. this chain is about putting a silicone skin over the core of humanoid robots.
>>108759342which will never fucking work on the fucking unitree r1, retardyou need something much stronger, sex dolls don't use a strong metal skeleton for shits and giggles
>>108755824I hope xhe sees this, lil bro.
>>108759366they use steel skeletons because steel is dirt cheap and because it's heavy, adding weight for real feels. again, we went over this already goldfish brain.
>>108759379nigger, pvc pipes are much cheaper than fucking steel, probably have dirt cheap bamboo too in whatever Asian country they make theseand no they don't make it extra heavy to make it feel realthey're always heaver than a real person would be at the same size, that's why they're usually so smallsilicone rubber alone is already heavier per volume than the human body they don't need something even heavier to simulate a human body
>>108759496incorrect. a real doll is roughly 100 pounds, only 41 pounds of that is silicone. the rest is the steel armature. you have no idea what you're talking about kid.
>0 pictures of robobutts itt sans opShame
>>108759609nothing of that actually contradicts with anything I said but I guess it makes sense in your mind

I think a hybrid approach with VR/AR is the only plausible way for at least the near term. One of those torso+upper leg dolls, with limbs added in AR. The ability to interact with the torso as a real physical object should get you 80% of the way to immersion/"presence", if you're ok going without female-led stuff. Especially if you just spent the previous hour deep in conversation with her across the dinner table. This is something that could be developed right now.True robots, can't see it. The complexity of devloping a convincingly human robot, even without trying for dexterous hands, seems out of the question for the likely tiny prospective market. Maybe the humanoid robot revolution really does arrive soon and this becomes way more doable than I'm thinking? Even then, though, facial expressions are just too hard to actuate. Uncanny valley for sure, in which case the only customers you're getting are the truly desperate, the existing $10k sex doll clientele. Unless non-sex applications feel the need to push past the valley, maybe for replacing nurses or daycare or something like that. But I think the total addressable market issue for a full robot goes even further than uncanny valley issues. Like... the vast majority of society is going to see it as pathetic at best. Maybe, *maybe* there will be the same rather sudden and drastic pathetic-to-normal realignment that online dating saw in the 2010s. Seems doubtful though. I could see robobrothels, though.
>>108763019counterpoint: china is pretty much one small step behind sex robots. look at these advanced robotics.

>>108763929i wonder how hard it'd be to have a few projectors, and just broadcast a texture onto them according to the relative position
About 5-7 years is conservative. Tesla is going to be scaling out Optimus assistants within the next 3-5 years, and a couple of years later modded into sexbots by hackers and jailbreakers. Owning a sexbot will be a grey area or outright illegal.
>>108757490She'll squeeze only if she's really horny.
>>108757578It’s kind of sad that by the time we get genuinely real moving robots that are not preprogrammed we won’t be able to celebrate because all recorded video could be AI.
>>108755678It will be a thing but it will be the most dystopian thing ever. Like sex toys, it will be mainly for women, male ones will be called perverted or unrealistic. Also if you look at the current world it could go in a few ways, either the companies will refuse to do it while able to (like adult mode in chat gpt) or it will be some kind of subscription dlc hell with no privacy. Sex robots are just like flying cars, a neat concept that will never be available.
>>108755767>do you honestly think there will be a billions of dollars worth of market for sex bots when people with money can just.. you know find a personHave you seen modern birth rates? People aren't "just finding" people anymore.
