Trying to rice my KDE is driving me insane.I just can’t seem to find the right combination for my desktop. The colors look wrong, that icon pack doesn’t really look right with dark mode, and “retro” themes look cool at first but end up feeling tacky as hell when I actually use them. And I find myself "need" the translucent effect which is something most retro theme doesn't even have.On top of that, my desktop ends up feeling messy. Every time I want to switch to another application, especially when I have 3-4 terminals open, I struggle to figure out which one I actually need. But I just added virtual desktops, and that does help, but still. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me.HOW DO YOU GUYS FIGURE THIS SHIT OUT!??!
install windows 11 and put a nice wallpaper that you like

i wish there was an easy way to get 9x style taskbars and window decorations on the modern version of kde but breeze dark is good enough.

>>108759040just install a TWM instead of kde goyshitwith kde you need to fight its defaults forever instead of just creating your own.>minimal TWM>build your own config>extract the color palette from a wallpaper you like and build a colorscheme around that
>>108759040by switching to xfce
>>108759040You will eventually stop. Honestly stick to the default theme: dark or light. The default icons are fine.I used to have Mac layouts or Ubuntu layouts, but I love stock KDE. There is a reason why there are defaults. Just add adjust to content and place the task bar at the top. This is already more than Mac and Windows has to offer.
