Someday AI will scan your documents while you're writing them and if it can tell you're writing your racist manifesto about how African slavery needs to be reinstated in the UK the software won't let you save the document.

>>108762943The only free alternatives there are LibreOffice, OnlyOffice, and OpenOffice; the rest are proprietary software.
>>108762943I host my own container of Cryptpad with some stripped version of onlyoffice
>>108763005"Free" as in beer. Free only meaning "gratis" should still be allowed to exist in the realm of software.
>>108762943You'd think somebody having the common sense to write down something like that would also be smart enough not to use corporate spyslop in the process, but apparantly this is not guaranteed anymore.
>>108763184>implying the most racist people aren't hicks who barely understand how to use their own phones
>>108762943Not if I continue using software without AI.

>>108763241How do you make an APA bibliography in this?
>>108762943>won't let you save the document.Wrong. It will report you to the authorities, then they will raid your home to kill you for noncompliance.
>>108762943No one tell OP, Windows already does this since Windows 10 and probably Win8.
>>108762943Not if you run local models.
>>108763043thats called freewareim not gonna call free as in freedom 'freedom software'it is confusing though so I just stick to whatever the software's license is
>>108763043Proprietary freeware is literally the most retarded licensing scheme possible, unless your goal is to have some company buy the rights to the software from you.
>>108763323just like private trackers & torrent downloads.
>>108762943Software is already scanning everything you do and feeding it to the feds automatically. There's no "someday" about it. >https://youtu.be/26SwVuKpm98?si=YPZuvWBSUBRi4lYg
>>108763005AbiWord is still around.
>>108763664The image is OP didn't make any mention if freedom though. It just said "free", which freeware objectively is. You're hallucinating.

I use WPS on Linux because they barely updated it since 2019. Yes, I know it's proprietary.Yes, I know it might be Chinese spyware. But it's simple, it's comparable to Microsoft Office, it has no AIslop and it works.
