>even 1tb hard drives cost 120$+>500gb ssd costs 170$This is fucking ridiculous, I'm seeding over 2000 torrents and I can't afford any replacements, these greedy fucks finally found a way to kill piracy. I'll turn everything off except for my laptop I use for browsing, at this point I'll pray that they'll all go bankrupt and China will dominate the market.
>>108763854Computer parts used to be affordable and quickly decrease in price. A 20TB HDD costs more than it did 5 years ago. This is a generalized trend. Makes you think.
>>108763854>the joke is badly drawn porn
>>108763854Should've stocked up, the signs were there for months.I bought 44TB in HDDs and 5TB in NVMe storage before prices spiked too high (the SSDs were criminal compared to early 2025 prices but cheap compared to 2026 prices). Total price paid was about $1300.
>>108763854Bought four 4TB NVMEs for $400 each in November. They're worth $1500 each now.
>>108763854>look at receipt i have for 1TB SSD i bought 2 years ago>the same model 1TB SSD today costs almost 4x as much
>boughted 64GB DDR5 RAM for $190>boughted the 5090 at MSRP>boughted the 8TB 9100 Pro for $900, price peaked at $2700 for a while>get to relax and compute worry-free until at least 2034feelin gud
YOU VILL OWN NOTHING
>>108763854>$120 is a vast unachievable fortune to meKek even beggars can make that in a day. How fucking poor are you?
>>108763854>This is fucking ridiculous,Nope, it is planned and you will be priced out by 2030. You probably voted for this anyway.
>>108763854fuck I sold a terabyte drive for 5 euro last year
>>108764464why?
>>108764470I wanted to earn some money
I wonder if I should sell my 8TB nvme it's basically empty.
>>108764016
>>108763854Even hard drives are so expensive now, they're supposed to be the cheap ones while SSDs are the expensive ones, fucking hell man
>>108763854Source?
>>108763854Your money is worth less.
>>108763854>still buying HDDs in 2026
Same with most if not all storage mediums. You could look at used markets, sometimes there's good deals to be found. Consoombrains still pay the higher prices so no reason to lower them.
