Because programming is braindead unlike art and music. Requires zero creativity which is why everyone copy pasted from stack overflow and even bragged about how little effort they were putting in. If anything, ai coding is a long time in the making. It isn't even really anything new.
Asking ChatGPT requires no thought whatsoever even compared to pasting Stackoverflow. Chegg also costs money and ChatGPT doesn't.
