Macos pretty much IS linux, it’s very easy to do anything you want with it, any guardrails are easy to turn off. It’s not at all similar to ios/ipados which are the closed down toylike OS

I bought a Mac Mini M4 base model just weeks ago for less than 600 eurodollar, pretty funny that right after Apple stopped selling theseI like the OS enough I might turn my desktop PC into some sort of console like a steam machine (but more powerful) and use that instead, but it does have a few nuggets of shit here and there.
I bought a macbook air in 2014 and it only just died (my fault). I'm strongly considering buying another one, but is there much of a difference between the air and 'neo'? Picrel are the specs, obviously the air is better but it costs literally twice the price ($1100 vs $600). I already have a shitload of external storage so that doesn't bother me and I don't think the processing speeds would matter to me much considering I just use it for writing and emails when travelling or outside.

>>108777652Neo is for facebook moms. It’s usable but by no means good unless all you need is google sheets, youtube, web browsing and some very simple tasks like text editing. I’d much rather get a used m4/m5 air, or maybe even try to snipe an m4 pro if you’re not in a rush.
