Suddenly there aren't any issues with installing and playing old games, even 90s games and legacy 32bit programs. I don't have to waste 30 min to remove telemetry and bloatware. The design is far more stylish and futuristic and you can even switch to classic theme (although it has no xp them), taskbar looks normal, everything feels more interactive and less restricted, no win defender deleting and forbidding everything nor forced updates that will forcefully restart your pc if you leave it for too long. Even the fans don't rev up as often. Holy shit I can't believe how shitty it has become.
b-b-but muh security
>>108777604Only works if you happen to own hardware that still has W7 support. Which is 6 years old at this point.
>>108777619>be me>hardware too new for windows 7>hardware too old for windows 11>mfw
>>108777604windows 11 and 7 are pretty much the same, except for a few differences, bloat and telemetry are exactly the same since it is all was introduced with windows vista and 7... also windows 7 has no dark theme, steam no longer support it, so you need to pirate games and install a defender to protect yourself, also modern hardware is not available.... anyway I'm happy from you anon, stick to it if you want to
>>108777604Microsoft brought as much telemetry to Windows 7 as that is in Windows 10 with updates from 2015. You still have to remove it. A bit later they forced an update to Windows 7 so it would automatically upgrade to Windows 10, without user input. You are still fighting your OS. The developers are still hostile towards the user. The only thing you get in return is a very insecure system in current year.
>>108777644>with updates from 2015And that's why you just stick with sp1 and don't bother with basically any other updates minus a few others which only are required for rare software.>a very insecure system in current yearYou can use the latest browsers and sandboxing software though with little to no extra work. Disable ipv6 too and you're good to go. And there's nothing stopping you from virtualization too if you're that paranoid
>>108777727nta but how do you sandbox applications on Windows 7?
>>108777776The easiest way is by using https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie or 360 sandbox (paid) though of course it isn't as secure as hardware-based virtualization
>>108777619You'd be surprised what actually works just fine.
