It's already out in Preview Update (KB5083631) (26200.8328).

My PC is not even a year old, so I choose a new OS, Windows 10 is as shit as 11 is, so might as well go with the one that will "last" longer.
Before you ask why I'm not on GNU/+Linux, I just do not care, if I can spend an hour configuring Linux, then I can spend an hour de-bloating Windows.

>>108778423
There's no quick fix for the horrendous bloat. They would need to rewrite the entire core UI of the OS to fast, native code and suffice to say they ain't doing that. Too much work and probably too technically challenging for them to handle, they are incapable nowadays.

If they're going to do anything it's just going to be applying some minor tweaks at the fringes and the impact will be negligible at best. Like I said, they lack desire, skill and competence to do anything better?

You spend an hour setting up Linux, it'll work forever and you'll have learned some things about how your system works.
You spend an hour debloating Windows, and it'll break next update and it'll stop getting support eventually.

I personally never had an issue with Windows because I choose when to update it and what it can update (this goes for 10 and 11), only version of Windows that ever broke on me was 8 to 8.1 update.

You had to whack off to getting over 5% on Steam Hardware Survey to sustain your illusion of winning, then went all silent once it dipped down below it this month.

Linux is a toy, no matter how bad Windows gets, it's still the more mature desktop OS. You've lost, the only reason you had any "wins" was because of a corporation paying big money to developers to actually write working code, and your movement never had any chance of competing with commercial software.

There has been an enormous uptick in windows shilling here lately, combined with constant linux doom posting about bugs (which were already fixed by the time the thread was made) and people acting like linux is over. Yet W11s ui is built on top of react, which is so naturally sluggish even on real hardware, and theres some new major exploit in the wild weekly that gets actively weaponized and takes weeks to patch.

I will be on 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC until 2032. Even that with a firewall and some disabled services. Manual updates. CachyOS for gaming.
11 is pointless garbage. A reskinned 10 with even more spyware and a crippled taskbar. It exists solely to make normies buy new PCs for TPM and accept even more spyware by being forced to have an online account.
In my experience Linux is already equal or better for gaming and as soon as video editing stops being ass on Linux, I will fully switch.
The last great Windows was 7. It's been downhill since then. Unless MS wake up and go back to the philosophy they had in the 2000-XP-7 era, they will slowly crash and burn. Normies will get the MacBook Neo while geeks like me will slowly but steadily adopt Linux.

Because this statement
>We never said it was good,
Is blatantly false

the world benefitted from windows existing back when xp and 7 were king
now it would be better off without it

Likely because of the name
Edu is the best edition bar none of you don't want the actual LTSC but don't want a bunch of presintalled bullshit.

It's also on the default ISO.

Only if you buy the models without a fan (Neo and Air) and do intensive tasks for hours (like editing and exporting 8k movies while compilling chromium) without letting the chip reduce the heat by throttling a bit.
