Is there a single case of someone being spied on through their camera without them knowing to warrant doing this kind of thing? Phones and laptops have indicators to show when the camera is on and I've never heard of that being circumvented..

Me. The Jews want their own private peepshow, and I give it to them. Every inch of my overweight ass.

Yes, shekelberg has that famous photo of him being interviewed with his laptop behind him on a desk.
That laptop had a sticker on the camera and that was because they kept trying to look at him through it

>Phones and laptops have indicators to show when the camera is on
It's almost always operated by software or firmware, and independent from the actual operation of the camera. In other words, a useless indicator.

So where are the cases of someone being spied on their devices without them knowing?
>>
>>108783872
>Without them knowing
Yes I heard you and Zuckerberg didn't know before he did and it "warranted" him to cover the camera with a sticker.
Holy shit are you African?
>>
>>108783908
By not knowing I mean without any sort of notification light showing to them
>>
>>108783922
YES, NIG. Mark Zuckerberg

Snowden files

>why are you trying to cover up the telescreen bro?

I've gotten tons of emails claiming to have hacked my webcam and recorded me masturbating in front of my computer. I've never had a webcam attached to my computer but the threat that this lives as a concern in the minds of people who do is enough to warrant a physical camera shield.

Back in the day there were thousands of videos of hackers using RATs to record people jerking off.
>>
I remember seeing this one video someone looking at his screen from the laptop camera view.. all of a sudden he realizes someone is watching along as they said what they saw while chatting with said guy. You can see his face change while realizing this.

Dunno if it was real, but it sure seemed like it..

The fuck? There are reports of people at the NSA literally picking random people's cameras to peek inside their houses. And even a famous one about a dude stalking his ex through her phone and laptop cameras.
>>
>>108783685
Didn't Snowden blow the whistle on this or was it some other illegal surveillance thing that the NSA was doing??

What I'm looking for specifically is someone being spied through their laptop camera for example without the camera light showing or their phone camera without the little android camera dot like >>108783807 alludes to. Has that ever happened?
>>
>>108783999
Yes, it happened to mark Zuckerberg. And when he realized it through not having an indicator like>>108783807 mentioned telling him about it.
The fag got involved with gov shit, learned they were watching him and began putting a sticker on his camera.
Why do you think you're offering some challenge that can't be met?
>>
>>108784021
Is there an article about this?
>>
>>108783685
Yes. Funny enough, Adam Savage just did a video where it's demonstrated how that works.
>>
>>108784360
Link to the vid?

I never saw someone getting BTFO harder than OP itt right now
>>
They can make cameras out of wifi signals bouncing of human bodies, they can hack a camera indicator light lol

Unless the power for the indicator LED is on the same circuit that powers the actual camera, the light can be turned off with the camera still on.

school officials using photos taken on his laptop to accuse him of a crime. Robbins never took those photos, and the school refused to tell him how they got them.

https://blog.erratasec.com/2013/12/how-to-disable-webcam-light-on-windows.html?m=1

Dell, Apple, Logitech, you can do it on any USA made or influenced brand.
There is infostealer malware out there that records with the webcam. So even if you dont believe that the government is spying on you (which only a complete idiot would believe), wouldn't you want to prevent some random script kiddy from doing it?

The only question is whether or not Chinese-only brands can do so as well.
>>
>>108784439
>school-provided
Kind of a different case since you cant really trust anything that isn't yours to begin with

>>108784446
Now this is more what I was looking for. Didn't realize you could disable the light that easily. Wonder if its this easy to do on linux as well.
>>
>>108783685
just get laptop with a privacy slider retards.
and no I don't think there has been.
>>
>>108784443
You know, they/them.
>>
>>108784446
I always wondered where you can find such malware. Is it organized groups or can you just randomly find it on the web?
>>
Now i'm curious, because my laptop has a camera. But one, i have the driver disabled, and two, it requires Function+F6 to be turned on for the driver to be rendered on Device Manager.

Am i cool or no? Prolly not i imagine.
>>
>>108784507
It's sold. Unironically in shitty Discord servers, because Discord kids LOVE to bait others into running infostealers to steal their tokens.
They just kept on adding capabilities and nowadays you can VNC into hijacked machines, or watch them with the webcam or whatever.

And the people who sell it, backdoored their own malware, so if you pay for their service, they will first check what you captured and if its juicy, keep it to themselves.
Getting scammed while trying to scam others.
>>
>>108784538
So toddlers that run unknown programs on their dad's computer thinking they're hot shit script kiddies?
