First time using claude code after years of ignoring everything besides basic image gen and chatgtp
>Instead of browsing github for something overly specific I can just ask an AI to shit out that exact program for me and troubleshoot everything in 30 minutes max
Feels like a cheat code to computing, what even will the world look like in 10 years if we're already here?
>>
>>108785698
hopefully robots work for us so i can stay at home breeding op
>>
Lots of debugging across billions of projects that are "80% of the way there"
Praying society doesnt randomly collapse from these kinds of black box systems interfacing with one another at scale or from someone building a linchpin nested deep in the jenga tower thats dependent on a token budget in a world where nobody can read (code) anymore.
>>
why am i seeing these claude code advertisements everywhere on /g/?

why do we never see the same thing for deepseek, grok or zai?
>>
>>108785773
because anthropic has over 7000 employees globally, and 4000 of them are "sales" positions.
>>
>>108785773
>Providing context is advertising
Just what I happened to use, go code with deepseek or cock I don't care
>>
>>108785773
>programming tech nerds board
>why am i seeing people talk about the best tools to help them code?
>>
>>108785773
>Why single most distruptive technology ever is talked about
>this is very confusing

I’m hoping for a future like in Chobits.

But what we will probably get is something more dystopian like 1984 with more Eldritch Horror type scenarios with machines raping and mutilating us
>>
>>108785773
it just werks, deepseek sucks

>on /g/
>"disruptive"
it isn't just on /g/, they're "disrupting" (spamming) everyone, I swear that 90% of their budget must be marketing and advertising. A buddy of mine is in the trades, not even anything to do with software or tech, and the amount of "CLAUDE CODE CLAUDE CODE OMG CLAUDE CODE LEFT BEHIND LEFT BEHIND" emails he gets every day is just unreal
>>
>>108785698
make sure that when you use claude code you listen to claude fm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUQKjgKQF7w
I wonder how much anthropic paid google to steal the @claude username from the previous owner. youtube account was only registered january of 2026.
>>
>>108786158
This, even redditors have begun to noooootice that jewthropic has shill squads

Honestly at my job we have Claude and github copilot that i use with Claude because why not. Don't you guys use it at your job or get forced into using it? Maybe it's just shilling tho, i don't know, you guys act like schizo sometimes
>>
>>108785935
Disruptive in that it'll wipe your server for no predictable reason?
>Providing Indians with codepens is magically disruptive to zoomers who were pushed through their degree programs by way teaching them 1/3 of millennials
>>
>>108785773
Because claude has claude code and this is /g/

describe who talks like this. write one paragraph.

I keep seeing all this praise for AI coding agents, and yet every time I try them out myself, they always suck and never help one bit.

What am I missing here?
>>
>>108787028
What are you using it for? Do you have some specific stuff? Honestly for doing repetitive jobs they are very great
>>
>>108787028
the ability to plan, give clear instructions and relevant feedback.

so basically you wouldn't be able to manage a human developer either.
>>
>>108787028
basically you have to write a spec sheet thats 3x longer than the project itself then hope it accidentally brute forces it properly
>>
>>108787040
>so basically you wouldn't be able to manage a human developer either.
I don't have to. I develop myself.

"Managing", whatever the fuck that means, is not my job nor I want it to be.
>>
>>108787024
AI-natives talk like this and we are the future. You're playing on nightmare mode while we're coasting in cheat-mode. All endings—unlocked. Your endings—there's only one: irrelevancy unto death.
>>
>>108787053
What if we came up with a formal specification with well defined semantics that, uhm... a program could take as an input and generate equivalent machine code, deterministically and with no surprises?
>>
>>108787028
I used to think the same but then I tried claude code with opus 4.7 in a code base and it worked far better. It works much better when it has large context (your entire code base) and when you can tell it to just look at the source code of the libraries you use
>>
>>108787066
AI is for people who aren't smart enough to do that, and never will be.
>>
>>108785988
>chii~~?
wasted potential, the show
>>
>>108787039
>Honestly for doing repetitive jobs they are very great
I use Python scripts all the time for that. Takes a fraction of the time I'd need to explain that shit to an AI.

It's no coincidence that the same people who shit on high level languages for years are now all in on the AI craze.
>>
>>108787089
yeah there does seem to be a very big overlap between people who categorically refuse to use python and self-professed vibegods

like nigger I can just proompt the computer directly for half the shit you're doing
>>
>>108787089
Stop projecting, i hate rust and i find javascript disgusting, not Python. But i'm too lazy to learn it. I should tho, i know. Half of the time Claude spit python code for me to run anyway
>>
>>108787119
What the fuck is there to even learn with Python it is literally human parsible. If you know any fucking language at all there's zero curve.
>>
>>108787119
And let me add that at my job i use java/sql the most, i have no use for python except for this stuff, so i'm never in the mood to learn it.
>>
>>108787146
ESL as fuck unwashed hands
No fucking wonder
>>
>>108787153
As always a yankee think the world revolve around them. Thanks god i'm european
>>
>>108787119
You're the target audience, stick with it.
>>
>>108787167
Go poop in the street you dirty shithead
>>
>>108787197
Go send another billion dollar to israel you filthy yank, or go to Iran to get blown, don't care either way. Are you mad because i shat on rust? Should i call you a tranny aswell?
>>
>>108785891
Do they have names and addresses?
