>look up any video ever on anything
>get rec-ed dozens of AIslop videos that usually have nothing to do with the subject like "Man picked a barroom fight with Bruce Lee, this is what happened."
this never used to happen. you could be looking at a video on how to build furniture or do home remodeling and still get this shit in your recommended videos.

Google doesn’t care about the quality or function of their products as long as the ad-dollars keep coming in.
>>
>>108786903
I'm at the point I just use 3rd party search engines to search for videos since recs are out of this world garbage tier now. It's exactly as you say, I search for like "pasta recipe" and you just end up with 95% unrelated garbage that has nothing to do with pasta or cooking at all.
>>
>>108786903
>this never used to happen

AI slop didn't exist in 2015 or whatever year you're referring to.

>>108786903
why are there all these AIslop videos of random 60s-70s celebrity? it makes no sense.
>>
>>108786903
What pisses me off more is the "radio" and list functions that automatically start every time you listen to a song. I just want to listen to this one song, not a fucking playlist!

>>108787677

do you need further help answering obvious questions?

How's the weather in Mumbai?
>>

There are AIs that trawl the web and just grab random shit to assemble into a video.
>>

yeah you're underage, irrelevant, engagement driven recs have always been a thing on youtube
>>
>>108790329
So at which point after 2010 did you join YouTube?
I've been on there since before Google took over
>>
I don't have that problem
>>
>>108790552
>since before Google took over
a whooping 1 year? man you're so cool
>So at which point after 2010 did you join YouTube?
so you admit it's been a thing for the majority of the platform existence? I accept your concession.

Watching AI slop videos on Youtube is like banging a $2 dollar hooker with no condom. Even after you are done with them they follow you around. So what I'm saying is don't fuck $2 dollar hookers.
>>
>>108790329
AIslop videos didn't used to be.

yeah no shit? point is recommended video being filled with irrelevant garbage is nothing new, whether it's ai or elsagate or whatever the fuck

and stil doesn't happen to me.

yes, the alternatives are just youtube clones, but just AI, not even quality content.

web 2.0 was a mistake
>>
>>108790624
youtube has been around since way before 2010
like yahoo, its been around since the modern internet was a thing

And the stupid single digit views video getting recommended, and the same shitty videos that you never watched getting recommended over and over. And the zoomer slop "Situation X is crazy" or "X is over" or "[insert some eceleb] did [insert something normies find bad]".

And people genuinely watch that shit, it's over.

Youtube has been enshitified by jeets, the same for google.

I have a feeling Youtube is tracking me despite me not having an account and always starting with fresh cookies.
After 2-3 videos I watch (don't have to be related at all), I always, without failure, get recommended a specific video. It's popular, but not THAT popular (like 400k views), so they are for sure not recommending it to everyone.
I feel like it's a marker that they know who I am
>>
>>108793191
Videos get recommended based on region. Another anon said that it's DNS related rather than IP, I'm not tech savvy enough to say for sure. It seems plausible because NextDNS always connects me to the Balkans and I get video recs in every Balkan language known to man when not logged in.

is why i keep getting campaign ads for Pennsylvania elections

^that. you get this crap regardless of what you look up as OP said if you looked at a video about outdoor camping you would still get these videos like "Funniest water slide moments" or "Best bikini wardrobe malfunctions."
>>
>>108787677
they're dead and can't sue anyone. you don't see any videos like "Heckler boos Taylor Swift, this is what happened next" because she's very much alive and could file a lawsuit unlike Dean Martin.

or, well, mostly nothing to do with baking, sorry. but you get the point.
>>
>>108794159
Interesting. I get that exact "POV your older brother blabla" video recommended all the time
I don't even have a brother or a sister
And the video only has 1.2M views which in the grand scheme of things is not that much
Either no one is clicking on it and they're just trying to push it
Or we are in the same algorithm/advertisor's group
>>
>>108786903

It's just bots watching videos made by bots at this point. Advertisers are being grifted so hard lmao

youtube recently started spamming me with "sad girl starts her philosophy phase" and it's amusing to see these zoomer girls suddenly realize they don't have to be golems
>>
>>108796447
Kek. It's pretty much universal from what I can tell, I'm getting them too. And every week it's some other flavor of retardation. A few weeks ago it was retards crying in their cars, then people complaining in their basements, now art thots reading their first philosopher and making an entire channel about it.
>>
>>108787697
There's an extension called "Less mixes for YouTube" that fixes that. I found it more efficient than redirecting links or using uBO filters to block the radios/mixes (YouTube constantly fucks with the UI, filters get quickly outdated these days).
>>
>start typing in search for thing
>the only suggestion is thing reaction

Basically, what used to happen was you would be recommended videos related to whatever you last looked at but now you get about 20 unrelated/AIslop videos and maybe 2 related to the subject.
>>
>>108796751
it's all bad, man
>>
>>108787521
>predetermined awful future is good because it's predetermined
or we could just not. Our systems fail us all and instead of targeting those, the wealthiest have decided to fail themselves further. If they are nihilists, all they have to do is acknowledge their own making and choose differently. It's literally a case of "men will cut off their foot before going to therapy"
>>
as anon said AI is the future, get over it luddites
>>
>>108786903
Facebook is overrun by AI generated slop posts. They do nothing about it. Just like YouTube. They just care bout their ad revenue.
>>
>>108786979
why is every major tech company so fucking awful now? where is the competition
>>
>>108794159
are you guys trolling? i just looked up cornbread recipe in the search and it shows nothing but corn bread recipes in both shorts and videos. I cant find any irrelevant content on the page
