This is why ransomware gangs shill against good solutions.
>>
A computer that can't encrypt files is fucking useless what is the point?

So much disingenuous bullshit. Most ransomware does privilege escalation or abuses signing keys to install drivers, not trick the user to run it as root/admin. Those are more expensive on Android, but that has fuck all to do with user privileges.

You will eat the bugs, you will own nothing, you will not have root.

bro the point is to give every process root, nobody is going to be forced to eat bugs, and you will keep root.nobody is asking to make it illegal to have root, what we want is to prevent persistent creation of botnets through iot devices. iot devices need to be secure. android phones also need to be secure. the responsibility to keeping android phones secure means that oems need to be mandated to provide support for devices. plain and simple.restricting the user isn 't magically going to make software vulnerabilites go away
