What are some good home security camera systems, /g/?Also did we ever get a followup from the anon who suspected his girlfriend of cheating? >>108766410
>>108789201How is this in the dark? My backyard doesn’t have any lights
>>108789177Bump for answers
The other guy fucked him and he liked it. They are all now in a trouple and happy. The End.
Frigate is really good
>>108789177Get a couple solar hard wired cams and keep the data locally on a dedicated mini nas. Just make sure the nas is hidden so that neither theives or swat teams can steal it.
>>108789177Frigate + wyze cam v3 with thingino firmware installed through a sd card. It just works.https://github.com/themactep/thingino-firmware/wiki/Installation:-No-Tool-Methods
>>108789177I run 3 tapos right now. They are all great for the price. One in the backyard is solar and it's only knock is it's Ai sensor only picks up humans. I was wanting it to pickup humans and larger wildlife. It was like 30 bucks so whatever. I have their doorbell and it works great. Came with s chime unit and was easy to install. It's a chonker though. Like 3x as large as a ring doorbell system. Our big boy is the c520ws and it's really cool. You can set it up where it follows all movement and that freaks people out as the camera follows them till they're out of range. Has 360 degree rotation. Great night vision. Tracks vehicles, people, animals perfectly. Built in alarm siren. Also none of them require a subscription. All 3 have a spotlight built in which is cool. I plan on getting 2 interior ones that just sit there so I can keep an eye on my dogs while I'm away from home. I'd like a setup that didn't require internet but I don't have the time, patience or money to wire my house for that.
>>108789177>Suspected his gf>His gfSome anon concluded that he likely just wanted to see one of his family members naked.
>>108789177Anons were probably right and he is drowning his sadness in alcohol. Wait until tomorrow.
>>108790438they just follow the wires dude
>>108792002I think you're overestimating the inteligence and underestimating the laziness of anyone trying to raid your house. Almost nobody, save for the FBI or CIA would be willing to spend hours tracing wires through your walls and attic to find the recording box that may or may not exist in your setup.
Don't bother, it's the most useless tech normies have been convinced to buy. Even worse, they are most often used to incriminate homeowners. Besides, cameras will not stop a crackhead from rifling through your vehicle. Cameras will not stop crackheads from ransacking your home. Cameras will detect every squirrel and blowing leaf but fail to detect people. Cameras are too low quality and too few in number to accurately identify or profile any criminal. Cops will laugh at you when you try to provide them with evidence. Good home security: ALARMS, DOGS, FENCES, LOCKS. Ask me how I know.Have fun contributing to the dragnet.
I have some Samsung wired cameras that are air gapped. They have network/cloud capabilities, but I rather not.1080p, 500gb HDD, IR light, hard wired. It's a good deterrent anyways by being visible.+ a google nest at the front door towards the street that gives me notifications. I'd like something different, but it works for instant notifications.I park in the driveway and enter through the back door so my face isn't getting captured by the camera.
>>108789367Bad. Get motion activated flood lights. Hell, the lights alone are enough to deter a lot of thieves.
>>108789201These are absolute garbage.
>>108793748>t. professional thief maintaining job security
>>108789177Reolink is the only relevant company for private local cameras https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4VJsyDvaZo
>>108795209basically a shitty ubiquiti
>>108796697No, you should be using Dahua cameras with Frigate. Anything else is subpar
>>108796697I love my Reolink E1 Zoom watching the living room, but I'm afraid that this is going to be the next chinkshit that Zion Don will try banning due to "national security concerns." Only Ring cams with an active NSA connection will be approved
>>108789177>Also did we ever get a followup from the anon who suspected his girlfriend of cheating?I guess we'll never know what happened, assuming it wasn't just a larp
