Also it doesn't matter if a single wayland compositor adds its own protocols. That just makes it worse since it makes it harder for applications to create software that targets _wayland_. What ends up happening is that software doesn't target wayland, they target kwin, mutter, wlroots, hyprland, etc. How is that an improvement of targeting a single platform (such as x11)? And no it's not because xorg is a single x11 implementation, but because the x11 protocol is intentionally made to allow a lot of different use cases with simple constructs (mechanism over policy)

The config wasn't that hard to migrate but all of my scripts are fucked and they're all specific to hyprland so I have to convert it or switch to another wm and make new ones anyway. I feel like I've been raped.
