I know this general/site has some AI threads constantly, but I wanted to ask those of you who don't use them.
If the majority of AI is slop and just wastes water, then there's no point, right?
But if any of it is used, like a tool as some say, and helps production, is it worth the cost?
Where do we draw that line?
Is it just another coming of age thing like industrialization or the bronze age?
I don't see it fading away like NFTs. There's too much investment. But that could lead to a dot-com bubble, and when you consult that one graph that says 90% of our economy growth came from AI last year, or whatever it was...
The proof is in the pudding.
So, can i get some honest thoughts?

If your AI takes more than a second to calculate 8x7, then you're doing it wrong.
