Why haven't all the smart heads of /g/ tried to build a profitable LoL model? I know there's a 24 year-old high school dropout that has been winning consistently for 1.5 years. Specifically attacking the market inefficiency of odds not moving after the draft phase.

I suppose with collaboration it should be beatable, no? And then we all live really well after.

It's always the pain in the ass of data scraping, collection and cleaning (95% of work). If that's done it becomes a really easy thing to do.
>>
>>108796005
i believe someone did something similar to this, but for dota. It got trained on a shit ton of pro play games and it ended up beating the top player on a 1v1.

>>108797403
what this anon said. also, how much compute would this take anyways?
>>
what money is there in predicting the outcome of ranked matches? selling boosted accounts?
>>
>>108797419
Compute is ez because hardware is so powerful nowadays. Like you can rent even a B200 for a few dollars an hour.

Also apparently riot does have a data API, so the data problem might be easily solvable
>>108797447
You bet on it
>>
sounds like bs.
"i know a guy" yeah sure everybody knows a degenerate gambler
"wins consistently" you mean he wins sometimes and hides his losses, like every degenerate does
"should be beatable" unlikely because even if you play the odds perfectly you still have to deal with the match outcomes being scripted often enough that it won't matter
>>
anyone who cares that league of legends exists should be relentlessly bullied
>>
How long until AI is good enough that you can queue up into a game and only have AI players, what about having AI play for you?
>>

>high school dropout
>why aren't the smart heads honing their skills, contributing to society and building a stable career that provides opportunities instead of niggery "internet hustle" vine swings like drop shipping and crypto
hmmm
>>
ah, the classic "idea" guy
>>
Creativity is like 90% of league in high elo, good luck matching that with an ai

>why aren't the smart heads doing boring life-sucking shit with no real rewards instead of enjoying themselves
Real hard to understand
>>
I have friends who've been doing the same thing in Dota 2 for about 6 years. It's a really effective method. I think it would work just as well in LoL.
>>
>>108803056
Also they're started with CS:GO ML analysis, but MOBAs turned out to be more predictable and gave much more stable positive result
>>
>>108797553
Never because AI isn't and will never be intelligent. It would never understand the concept of being baited in real time.

>odds not moving after the draft phase
So you wanna bet based on winrates? Would be funny if rito figures it out and starts betting also, while lying in stats they publish.
You don't try and do something like that when you're no the house. House always wins, no matter what games, because they can bend the rules and you will do nothing about it.
