I recall Celeron got stuffed into every budget, low end machine. There were always better options so you did that. Pretty sure I was building AMD machines at that point though and would have been buying the upper end of whatever they were offering at the time.
I remember Celeron coming in these weird cartridges, though, that you slotted into the MB. Appears that was an older form factor that got abandoned.

Uhm... Either this is a joke or you are completely retarded. A CPU doesn't retain any data other than the microcode it needs to function in your motherboard. You don't need to destroy them like you would a hard drive.
