>second logitech mouse i got started developing issues. Is there a manufacturer making competent mice?Maybe some chink like keychron? My last good mouse I trully enjoyed was the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0
>>108797450My keychron M2 mini has been solid. Great build quality. If you like the Intellimouse shape, Zowie makes some that would be right up your alley, but they're for people who don't have little boy hands like me.
>>108797450i have a 12+ year old original M-U0028 G400 that i hope just continues to work forever because it is simple and has given me no problems through its entire life. i worry that new mice won't compare
>g502 ang g102 with 0 issues so far>friend says his g502 started double clicking after I repaired it a month ago>noway.bmp>ok whatever, I'll repair it again>check how he uses it>mushes the mouse buttons like a mechanical kbI swear ppl mush their mouse buttons with so much excessive forceno wonder they face all these problems
Xiaomi mice, wired gaming mice look decent and it is cheap as dirt, equally or cheaper than logitech.
>>108797450Just buy a new one?
>>108797561Preferably i would like to also get something else because after two failing I'm kinda soured on logitech.Originally i had an m575 and I loved that mouse. But it wasn't ideal for gaming. But it was large and my hand could just sit on it.Problem with it was the fact that the scroll died and I could not for the life of me find replacement parts. Then i went to the store saw an MX anywhere 2S i bought in a rush. It's fine as a mouse but man it's tiny. All of a sudden something went wrong with the clicks so it's hard to select text.I want something large my hand can comfortably sit on.
>>108797450The main problem with logitech mice is they will always start double clicking eventually. Every single one of my mice from them eventually does it. If only their unifying receiver wasn't so good. It's not too bad to just solder a new click switch on.
>>108797973idk i never soldiered anything desu could try it if i knew where to find what potentiometer the m575 uses.Could also probably search for rubber feet for it.
>>108797450Don't consoom more useless products. All mice will eventually double-click, unless you get one with fancy optical switches. Just repair your current one and keep using it until it breaks again. That's what I've been doing to my Logitech mouse. I've probably repaired it 4 times already.
>>108797450>started developing issueswhat issues?cable -> aliexpressdouble clicking -> one drop of deoxidant contact cleanerI'm still on G400, got it in 2011 or so.
>>108797450I have an M171, no issues
>>108797450>>108797949keychron m3 maybehttps://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/compare?p=microsoft-intellimouse-optical-1-1a-vs.-keychron-m3-vs.-logitech-ergo-m575
>>108797450makes me wonder what niggas be doin with dey mice my g305 has been without a single issue since I bought it 6 years ago and I've been using it daily really only reason I'd switch is that I'm getting a bit tired of everything being wireless and needing recharging or battery changing
>>108797450when my mouse gets problems I just use contact cleaner on the buttons and solder in a brand new wheel sensor ($5 for a five pack on aliexpress). I get ~10 years out of a mouse this way, last mouse I used went for that long until the plastic parts broke.
>>108797450>not buying a fully optical mousehttps://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/1c8zphw/updated_list_of_fully_optical_mice_optical/
>>108799065are they more reliable?If not I don't care.
>>108799135The ones with optical buttons and encoders, yeah. That's the point of them being optical in the first place, not some placebo better performance or more accuracy.
>>108797470My zowie randomly died after 1.5 years. Shit sucks.
I've been spoiled by the Logitech Silent mice, wouldn't go back to anything loud (despite being a Model M user!).I hear there's chink silent switches out there, in which case I'd put them in a mouse with a more solid build.
>>108799065>Note that "fully optical" does not include side buttons as they are non-essential, and seemingly all mice use mechanical side buttons. ...so what the fuck does fully optical even mean? was expecting my (also logitech) g502x to not be present in this list but apparently it counts.
>>108801046Left+Right+Middle being optical switches with the wheel using a optical encounter instead of a electromechanical one. Those are the things that fail 99.9% of the time in mice, either the clicks don't work properly (not at all or double clicking, etc) or the wheel will start fucking up while scrolling.
>>108801113pretty sure the middle click on g502x is mechanicaland mine currently has a double clicking g4 button just a couple of years in, which makes web browsing an headache, many report the same problemso I still don't understand why mechanical side buttons are fine.
i just use the cheap base model razer deathadder, i bought a couple used. it's a good size and shape for someone who is also an intellimouse enjoyer. alternatively you could just buy another intellimouse, i have a few of different generations lying around as spares
>>108801113There are zero mice that use an optical middle mouse switch.
my mx masters all work fine i just buy new ones when the rubber gets too gnarly because i'm a sweaty stinkboy but no doubleclick issues, no scroll wheel issues, no battery issues however the superlight I bought go all those issues within a year along with the basilisks I boughtI don't trust gaming mice I know they are shit and will break I just accept that now
>>108798081>>108797973>>108797949>>108801220I swear, >>108797549 is right: you "people" are abusing the shit out of your mice. My G502 is 5 years old now and has never had any double-clicking problems or anything else.
>>108797450Pretty much everyone other than Logitech. I like some of the Logitech mice but the shapes are just shit, you're better off with a chinese clone. Razer and Pulsar are good big brands, Zowie is still fine but Vaxee is better since that's most of the old Zowie guys.
>>108804136You can be as gentle or rough on the mouse as you want. They always fail eventually. I have always been very gentle on my mice, keeping them clean and using them as a normal human. The switches logitech uses are just cheap. The G502 was a champ though, those rarely ever had the issue. The MX master, multiple Anywhere MX and one Ergo MX as well as a few others I can't recall the name of have all done it. My current Ergo MX is doing well but that could be that it is not getting used as much since I use my relacon more.
>>108797520there's a new version of this the mx518 hero basically the same thing with a good sensor.PERSONALLY though i'm using my gwolves htx mini and it's fucking goated except for the dogshit QC
>>108797450I was an intellimouse-only guy for the longest time and used them to death, I even got the fucked up newish 'Pro' rerelease too until I got extremely sick of the dogshit microshaft 'keyboard and mouse center' software and quickly-worn rubber shit on the sides.ZOWIE EC2-DW is an intellimouse shape-clone and X-Mouse Button Control is great software to give the sides a bit more brains if you need that. Maybe the scrollwheel spins a bit more aggressively notched and clicky than I'd like, but that's just a preference thing. It's been a great upgrade for me over any intellimouse and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
