https://vast.ai/Already exists, its probably inefficient compared to centralized infrastructure and there isn't really a way to make sure clients don't just lie about the computations its doing. This isn't like bitcoin where the entire design of the calculation is that you can't BS it (inverting hashes).

I started building something like this. I did the whole self service CMS part, hooked it up to square for payment processing, got the compute workers behaving, and then a new company hired me and I haven't done any more work on it.
