We need to fix the logo. I like that it's blue and that it has the same format as the other anime generals, but it's missing the first "/".

I went to 2huai and a couple people are seething but yeah it seems disproportionate.

New generals don't have schizos. Schizos will arrive in time since it's board culure. The concept of a general is what invites schizos.

2huai is not new

schizos only appeared in 2huai whenever it got linked here aka now and the other time it happened
>The concept of a general is what invites schizos
the link in the OP is what is inviting schizos, just remove it, it costs you nothing to do it, you've never caught strays from our side so i dont get why we have to deal with yours
>>
>>108803339
I was thinking the same thing. I would like us to call ourselves /fadt/ (friendly anime diffusion talk) instead of /adt/. I understand that the word "general" is very ambitious and it triggers a lot of schizos

The worst part about making loras isn’t even the training or having your GPU locked for hours, it’s the fucking tagging. Spent 4 hours today just tagging and editing 20 dataset images after getting home from work. Feels like I worked a 12 hour shift total this shit is soul draining
>>
>>108803589
Better to let eva do it, bake the lora, then *test* it extensively. If you notice a recurring problem THEN you go back and tag that shit. Otherwise it doesn't matter. It was fine for SDXL but may not be true for anima.
>>

Anons, does anyone have an Arc B580? This anon told me that Stable Diffusion is built for Nvidia, something about CUDA, and basically saying:
>If you buy an Arc card, you're going to be relying on OpenVINO or DirectML. You won't be generating sprites, retard, you'll be spending forty hours a week in a command prompt fighting Python dependency errors, memory leaks, and broken GitHub forks of ComfyUI. You'll spend more time troubleshooting than actually making your game.

Yes.

If you're not comfortable with or are unwilling to learn how to set up a venv and install the xpu version of pytorch, then just go with nvidia, but that's all you have to do. I set comfy up once last year and have been updating semi-frequently without any issues relating to my gpu. I'm on linux so I don't really know what the experience is like on windows, but I can't imagine it's much different.

I did mention before that there are fewer options for lora training and none for anima (yet), so if that matters to you, that might be another reason to stay away.

idk anons I just don't get this anima model. I guess only inbuilt artists work well? Loras feel super iffy and everything is different from gen to gen. Can't spot any real patterns on what settings to use when and the turbo lora alters the style significantly, at least when used with other loras.
>>
>>108808668
skill issue. issue of skill. loras work and train just fine.
>turbo lora

>b-b-but
no. anything that increases speed exponentially reduces quality.

>>
>>108808822
mediafire.com/folder/k5m7hnj5yjtc0
LR may need adjustment pending dataset. Also append your dataset with @<artist> tags.
I've been doing a few trains with the TE enabled and I haven't seen any degradation so it's been my default for now, but there's also a unet only config if you'd rather that.
>>
>>108808668
are you using this one
https://civitai.com/models/2560840/anima-turbo-lora
>>
>>108809006
Thank you. If unet only works, is faster to train, and has a smaller file size, why bother training the TE? What would be the advantages?
>>108809044
Yeah it kinda works but at a loss of like 20% of the style. I wasn't using it to test my loras but other people are using it so I decided to give it a try. I feel like a big portion of my problem is that I'm too used to how the old lora looked on noob. When I compare a dataset pic to the anima pic it looks okay I guess, just not as nice as I'd like and my config needs a ton of steps to get there so something must be wrong.
>>
I LOVE /ADT/

I LOVE /ADT/

>>
>>108809157
>is faster to train
it's not really faster to train. anima is fucking slow no matter what you do. I think unet only takes like 2 hours 40 minutes on a 5060ti 16GB and it takes a whole 2 hours 50 minutes with TE enabled.
Filesize is kind of whatever. Granted, this is an extremely fat config since it's GLoRA but unet only is 175mb while full with TE is 251mb.
>why bother training the TE? What would be the advantages?
I mean, that's part of why I've been testing it. From what I've noticed it actually slightly improves comprehension(thought might be confirmation bias)? Otherwise it's just another dial. 1.5e-05 unet only should technically be a bit weaker than 1.5e-05 with the TE enabled. It should also technically improve performance of "new" tags being introduced to the model.
>>
Tried basically every anime model at this point but I still can’t find the perfect one. Currently using Anima Preview3 and it’s the best one so far, modern architecture, good lora support, strong text encoder, great prompt understanding. Just waiting for the full release with proper ControlNet and more tooling because it could easily replace Illustrious.
Any anon got better recommendations?

Thanks again for the settings. From my limited testing batch size 4 (with gradient accumulation 4) had significantly less overfitting on a dataset with 50 pics than the batch size 1 on your config. BS 4 generalized better, didn't hyper-copy certain poses in the dataset, and retained (some) darkness from a few of the pics. My original config really was bad but was also did darkness much better than both so I'm not sure if it was multires noise or training in full bf16 that did that.

The thing about inpainting is that it breaks the scientific chain of reproducibility. I like my gens to be reproducible and predictable with any other anons, also, inpainting masks many skills issies with respect to prompting and settings.

I kinda hope this is ironic but I know it isn't. It's fine if you don't want to inpaint and fix your gens, but acting as if you're fucking proud of it is really cringe.

Yeah, because IT TAKES MORE SKILL. Whoop dee fucking do.

If you have to inpaint, it's because you don't know how your machine or nodes works.

I mean I tend to agree and almost never inpaint myself, but this is a strange statement to make
It's like saying as an artist that you never use multiple layers: okay, feel free. but you are needlessly limiting yourself.

Most people here use Forge so they probably have no clue how to use Comfy. Which means most of this general is basically disconnected and alienated from the actual production process behind their gens.

You don't need any knowledge to copy someone else's workflow and press generate, which is what 99% of comfy users do. I don't like comfy because its interface is awful and it encourages vomiting out fully automated slop that you'll never fix or retouch, which is not how I like making gens. If that's what you prefer - enjoy yourself, but stop acting like it's the superior way.

You put it better than I could, the whole process of assembling the machine has artistic craftsman value too, not just the inpainting itself. Stuff like chaining automatic mask selection with Florence and SAM, making nodes, tweaking padding based on base resolution ratio, all that pipeline is part of the art too. At least for me, inpainting only gets super specific when the machine can’t quite reach certain areas on its own.

Ah wait nvm, I looked it up.
Apparently a majority of the worker bees are female, but are sterile.
So no pregnant bee girls, except the queen.

NTA and I think this guy is retarded, but:

>You don't need any knowledge to copy someone else's workflow and press generate
You also don't need any knowledge to follow a step-by-step video guide on installing archlinux. The reason the archwiki guide is recommended for first installation is to actually gain an understanding of the systems at work, which in turn makes fixing, replacing, and expanding components a lot easier.

If you're just using someone else's workflow, I think you're doing yourself a disservice.

>which is what 99% of comfy users do
This might be true but I don't think it's representative of comfy users here.

>its interface is awful and it encourages vomiting out fully automated slop that you'll never fix or retouch
I don't really get this. Your average jeet workflow with 12 detailers can also be done in forge with adetailer. Inpainting workflows are easy to make or find. Sloppers are going to make slop regardless of what software they use.

>If that's what you prefer - enjoy yourself, but stop acting like it's the superior way.
I agree, but I do think comfy is a better tool. That doesn't mean that everyone should use it or that it's the "superior way".

But like a huge part of your post is assumptions and prejudice desu. You’re acting like ComfyUI users are all sloppers, when most actual AI artists use ComfyUI instead of Forge.
