What do you guys prefer on Linux? Virtual box or Qemu? Are there any downsides to either compared to the other?

Its the most proformant, has 3d acceleration without needing to pass through a PCIE card, has the best interface, etc.

Yup, dosn't change that its the best one. I generally prefer open source for most things, but I've just had so many mediocre experiences with particularly VirtualBox on multiple fronts.

VirtualBox was alright 20+ years ago when CPUs didn't support virtualization properly but it's time to let go.
