Was it 2007? Was it 2016? Was it 2020?

How did we even get to this point where addons like this are necessary
>>
Like many technologies, it was designed poorly from the get-go. After HTML was made for the simple purpose of text with links and buttons, everything built on top of it did not entirely fit because an older tool was being updated for new uses. Hence the HTML/CSS/JS + Vue/React stack should be replaced with a system that works for the purposes of the modern web, except that will never happen

I wish I could find that one talk, or remember who held it, where we were warned that in the future websites would just show a blank page if you don't enable javascript which is completely unnecessary for just images and text.

Oh, and btw on Firefox you can just hold Shift and get the right click menu if the website blocks it.

Right click blocking was a thing in the early 2000s.
>>
>>108806484
Can't you just hold shift to get the normal context menu on websites that override it?

September 1993 when ISPs killed Usenet.
Then 2007 when Crapple killed social media.
Then 2014 when incels killed Internet culture.
Then 2015 when Reddit and Discord killed forums.
Then 2021 when techbros killed the GPU market.
Then 2022 when AI killed everything left.

2010 was the actual tipping point. Anyhow you don't need addons for shit like that, just l2use uBO, you don't even need ClearURLs with uBO, just learn how to read.
Or just do SHIFT + RMB on FF.

Than you Anon for this extension
>>
It's insane websites can open new tabs and windows.
A feature only spammers use.

Basically Browsers are designed to enable spam sites that create 20 new tabs are 50 popups.
That's how they make money I guess, fuck the users.
>>
>>108806484
The thing is that the only people involved in conversations about web technologies are web app writers and to a very reduced extent web browser writers. No users. Users can only respond reactively after the fact with extensions, which are a lot more limited than they used to be (and I don't mean MV3) or pages and pages of settings, flags, policies, registry entries, tweaks, and config files. Even if you could somehow aquire a @chromium.org email what are you gonna do, just start going into threads and saying no use case? So they can meme you like ebassi? It's hopeless. Scope creep is built into how browsers are written, eventually they will have lower level access than UEFI.
>>108808797
This was already a problem years if not decades before that.
>>108808698
On the latest Google Chrome 148.0.7778.168 on Windows 11 in a new installation directory this is giving me the normal context menu.

Contrary to popular belief, it is actually not free to create and maintain a website.

Please respect the user agreement, or get the fuck out.
