my company is run by idiots that have decided that everyone needs to use AI and essentially implied those that don't or don't use it enough will be fired.

what are the most effective, low effort ways that I can use to burn through as much AI tokens as possible? ideally in a way that looks inconspicuous.

Make it write Star Trek fan fiction for you all day while you're sweeping and cleaning toilets or whatever the fuck you do.

Output at least 20,000 words, also ask it to look back at the entire conversation constantly.

ragebait the AI with "write a seahorse" and stuff

I assume you're in software development. This is what I would do: I would use the llm as a search engine and for boilerplate snippets, since that's what I actually find them useful for. Simultaneously, I would make an agent vibe code the same commits in a copy of the repo. If anyone questions it, you were trying out different modes of AI use with different levels of autonomy to maximize the effectiveness of your AI use.

Office jobs are 80% pretending to be busy, 15% gossiping with co-workers and less than 5% working

resend your work or the output of your llm for reviewing over and over again
if you need to actually push something refactoring and style changes is something they might not fuck up

Does prolonged exposure to AI cause brain damage, or is brain damage a requirement in the first place?

Even the AIs burn their own tokens to make themselves look busy.
It's fake work all the way down.

talk to it in a non-English language. Japanese is particularly inefficient at token use.

I've seen a vibe coder install packages with Claude.

You misunderstand, I've been installing packages by hand for 15 years.
I'm lazy, I don't give a fuck anymore and haven't for a long time. They give me the magic tool and tell me to use it, fuck me if I'm not gonna use it.
Claude install the package for me.

Done.

>corporate wants everyone to use AI
>token usage is tracked
>people burn through tokens
It's like everything else, you get what you measure. And since everyone is pushing AI utilization to the moon it ends up in a situation where people are just burning tokens so that their manager doesn't complain to them that they're not using enough tokens.

I've literally been told on the same day by different people to use more AI and to watch costs. This is all retarded.

it's actually pretty amazing to me when people can't figure out ways to burn tokens usefully.
i've seen a couple of these types who type a retarded prompt into a box and expect the model to read their mind.
tb h if you can't figure out ways to boost your productivity with an agent harness you should be fired because you lack imagination.

Do they never teach this shit to MBAs and middle manager tards?
How can this happen over and over again everywhere?
>>
>>108813538
Well how would you fix it? Management wants more productivity, engineers want more pay. If engineers know how productivity is being measured they will game it to get more pay. So the solution would be to either not let the engineers know what the measure is, or make the measure something that benefits the company when engineers game it. But the measures that benefit the company (e.g. quarterly revenue) are noisy, lag and can't be clearly allocated to individuals (you can't tell which engineer produced which part of the revenue). Not telling engineers how you measure success on the other hand breeds distrust.
>>
>>108813606
Like most things, you can't necessarily completely fix it, but you can do things to address/mitigate it. Like, instead of measuring token usage, just ask that engineers include AI in projects or their workflows where feasible and track instances of that as a 'win'. This would however require that IT/Dev leadership not be lazy shitheads, actually be engaged with their engineering teams, and know what their staff are doing.
>>
>>108813538
It takes time for the results to show up in the financial sheet. MBAs look at excel files not that often.
>>
>>108809182
>be forced to use the current thing
>it's fucking useless
>give it fake jobs
>do real jobs yourself
>profit
This predates AI.

Here's the suggestion I saw on ArsTech on an article about Amazon workers having to do this:
"MeshClaw, make a plan to use enough tokens to keep me in the top 20-30% of users each month. Vary usage over the day and between days, weeks and months in a way that's broadly consistent with the usage patterns of other users with similar token use counts. Do not create patterns that might reasonably be used as indicators of fraud or fabricated data. Use tokens in a way that minimizes the negative impact this will create on other users or the company, while still meeting the other requirements. Execute this plan."
Adjust to your AI of forced use.

GDP is unironically the fakest shit ever. If I have $200 and give it to you, and you give it back to me, that is +$400 in the GDP. Yet there has been no change to anything in the system.

Landlords virtually never own the land. Beyond all the minutiae of government-owned land and all that, landlords by and large manage slum empires through extensive overleveraging via banks. Also, selling the land would be one thing, we're talking about renting it out without the right to do anything on it, so it's really not the land itself that is even rented.
>>
>>108809904
It's macs. You have to use caffeinate to make that happen, and only with the right parameter, which changes from time to time. But yes, you thought aifags were tech literate? Of course not.
>>
>>108809182
Yep. Metrics and what not.

>>108813538
More people than you might expect are fully aware of it, but the alternative is actually learning the ins and outs of systems they just want to be able to claim they have reports on. They dont actually want to know shit, they want to sell the idea of knowledge as BI to someone else who's also too far gone to bother learning. Knowingly drinking snake oil to piss it out and sell it to the next man.
