I love my M720 mouse. I use the free scroll wheel and the three extra buttons all the time. However, The rubber on the sides have begun to disintegrate after using it for so long. Should I buy a new one or is there a similar model that wouldn't have this issue? Would the MX3 or MX4 not have this issue?
>>108809646n=1 but i've got a g502 i've had for 10 years and i've worn the rubber down to hard plastic where my thumb sits. unavoidable. retire the old girl.
>>108809646i use the the attack shark f1v2 ultimate. Cant imagine buying another mouse.
>>108809752is that a zyn can? lol
>>108809646They do but I've had mine for 7 years and it still looks acceptable. You can also find aftermarket 3d printed cases.
i run a gwolves hati htm with ptfe skates on a glass pulsar superglide xli do not play videogames anymore, its just the preferable mousefeeleven at work i have another gwolves hati htm but on a cloth pad because i cant be replacing skates weekly at work
>>108810313>because i cant be replacing skates weekly at work
>>108809646You can get replacement top shells for about $25 on aliexpress.
>>108809646I use the MX Master 4. I know people like the 3 more but I bought one and immediately refunded it because the switches were already defective. The 4 doesn't look as nice but the clicks are quieter. Unlike the 3 the 4s' bottom screws aren't covered by an adhesive flap which I've seen people do to replace the obsolescent switches. Also three hotswap slots so you can easily switch between your WFH laptop and home desktop without a KVM. My boss at work has two, my other coworker has one at work. Horizontal scroll for browsing spreadsheets LIKE A BOSS. Literally the only choice for employed kings. Only complaint is that for it and my MX Keys on Linux I need the device manager Solaar always running in the background for the computer to actually go to sleep.
>>108810361ive used these, theyre very loudi use fairly soft ptfe because i can get 200 of them for like $20fancy skates arent worth it imo, even on a nice mouse and a fancy mousepad, theyre a wear item and it takes all of 30 seconds to swap them out anyway when i hear the edge of my mouse body scrape the glass
Mice are deprecated
Is there a real human being here that has actually used this? I'm trying to find information online, but all I see are people being paid by chinks to read the product description and give glowing praise.
>>108809646>>108809676Peel all the rubber off.
>>108810408>120Hz polling rate>bluetooth only>proprietary software with account-locked featuresget cunked with your "le features" ass mouse.don't get me wrong, mx master 2 was the comfiest mouse I've ever had the pleasure of using but it was objectively dogshit aside from the physical design, i.e. technical specs and software. I was hoping the mx line would get better in time yet it only got shittier aside from a better sensor, which is about the only good thing I can say about the 4.
>>108809646>keychron m7 is similar with better polling rate>no free scroll wheel>keychron m6 is also similar>only two side buttonsFUCK
>>108809646>The rubber on the sides have begun to disintegrate after using it for so longthis also happened with my MX master 3"premium mouse" btwfuck Logitech
>>108810408Logi is outdated shit with all sorts of issues, get keychron m6 instead
>>108811241any DECENT g502 alternatives with up to date tech and weight? Basilisk with its 100rg+ and AA battery is also hopelessly outdated
>>108809646I had this model and it died after 2 years. Clicks weren't holding properly anymore. You'll see that a lot of people had the issue.I'd upgrade or switch for non logitech
It's baffling how retarded mouse market is. There's virtually no mouse that has:>smart scroll wheel (like Masters or Basilisk) >no retarded ass rubber coating>option to go wired>sensible polling rateThe closest you get is Keychron M6 (which still has this weird coating, and no smart scrolling), or Basilisk, which has retarded gay ass rubber AND even more retarded gaymer design for no sensible reason.
>>108814718everyone wants lightweight so a heavy inertia scroll is undesired (also its the #1 fail point) everything else is common place but everyone is chasing gaymer audience with extra lightweight, smaller, minimum buttons
>>108814617>keychron m6This does look appealing actually. Only thing that seems to be missing is the automatic ratchet. The thumb pad thing and the haptic feedback on the 4 is retarded so it's better without it. If I get any more issues with my logitech devices I'll probably hurl them at a wall and buy this as a replacement. Are their keyboards good too? I have this one, people here would think it's slop but my standards are low and I honestly like it.
>>108814935yeah they are primary known for good keyboards but on the pricy side
>>108815101I have both Keychron mouse (M6) and keyboard (Q6 Max). They keyboard is easily the best keyboard I ever owned, and I'm pretty sure that it might outlast me. I don't really want any other keyboard, it's fucking excellent. The mouse is alright, I guess. It's not bad, I would say it's better than MX Masters 3, which, considering the price, is pretty good. However, when compared to something like Basilisk V3, it's kinda mid, and the shape (it's actually fairly tall, at least for me) takes a bit to get used to. You can see (and feel) that Keychron is still new to the whole mouse thing. I also had to return my first M6, which, after reading through forums, seems to be fairly common. So QC is probably shit.
Has anyone replaced the battery on the G502 X lightspeed (non RGB)? I'm struggling to find a replacement battery that would be both compatible and not lower capacity, and it seems like Logitech sells exactly 0 spare parts for this mouse.
>>108815146K7 is similar to Basilisk in shape, but then it doesn't have as many buttonshope they sort out the QC, cause there no good alternatives for ergonomic productivity mice there is also Rapoo but I'm not sure if its any better
some dude has been shilling keychron for months now it's kinda funnyme, I remember when they were called keytroll
>>108809646I just bought this mouse for a second time because mine was also disintegrating. It lasted for several years so I think it’s a worthwhile produce to repurchase
>>108809646Mx3 and mx4 are disappointingly small
i like the g203 because it's heavy and is a good size for my hand but fucking hell i hate logitech mice, they break down after a year. double clicking or the side buttons not functioning properly
keychron quality and software especially are pretty bad imobut then again, it feels like logitech & other big brands are going to crap toonothing lasts, nothing gets QC, everyone is a beta tester with no real release
>>108814718>retardedTrue. Can add to the list:>detachable covers that can be cleaned in a dishwashing machine, the hygiene level is horrific>soft illumination of the top side of the mouse and side illumination of the surface but not garish game style gunk
>>108809676>i've worn the rubber down to hard plastic where my thumb sitssame. even a bit of the plastic has snapped. still using all day every day
OP here. I didn't feel like waiting anymore so I bought a Razer Naga 2. It has a free scroll wheel and three extra button. I'm still messing with the binds for the other nine buttons but these work so far. Cheers.
>>108818269how do u charge it
>>108819337it runs on AA battery, yes its ancient
Is there any good mouse for people with big hands?
>>108820115Yes
>>108809646is the superlight 2 still the best mouse on the market? I grew up with early 2000 razer diamondback, ms intelli pro 3.0, deathadder, zowie ec2 and the logitech superlight 2 is BY FAR the best one I had in the past 20 years.
>>108820706thanks
>>108820880No, thank YOU!
got the G309 since its release, still works like a champ and the battery lasts very long. I think I'll buy another one in case they stop producing them and mine dies in the next years. Best mouse I have had so far. recommend
>>108820115Deathadder and alikes https://www.eloshapes.com/mouse/find-similar?p=razer-deathadder-v4-pro>>108820733chinese clones are already better than logi, same shape, better materials and internals, lower price
