Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.

what should i do if i bought a wifi dongle that doesn't work? i didn't yet confirm it as received because i wanted to test it first
the problem is that it simply can't find any networks, tested it on linux and windows with the manufacturer's driver and chatgpt couldn't get it to work either
the reviews were mostly good but i noticed there was one where someone had the same problem:
>Additional review:
>After trying it, I can say that the product does not meet the necessary requirements for conducting Wi-Fi audits. Although it is compatible with monitor mode, it cannot find Wi-Fi networks. When searching for networks, everything appears blank. At least for audits, it is not useful, but I don't know what else you would use it for. ! !

I learned about the new 3 Euro EU tariffs on Chinese imports going into effect July 1st last night and am now panick buying all sorts of small items I may need in the future.

Fuck these Zionist ghouls funding their genocide and imperial ambitions against Russia with my Aliexpress habit.

Anyone know if that exemption for parcels over 150 Euro will still be in place or was that the old rules?

not explicitly a /csg/ question but I picked up a newer JBL flip to use at work & replace my first gen flip.

apparently the newer ones don’t have stereo built in as part of the redesign and need a second speaker to pair with.
Question I want to ask is, how viable is this over a traditional home/PC audio setup (economically speaking)?

i only buy things which i use (like, i don't have posters, plants, physical books toys or figs)
compared to my brother who's accumulated a load of shit which sits there and takes up space, i reckon a lot of these items act as checkpoints or markers to remind him that an experience had happened
i used to think stuff like your picrel and anime figs and plamos have no utility but if you look at them and they give you a few seconds of joy or pride then there's your usecase right there

Some of the replica parts can be REALLY shitty. I bought a front cover for my 6th gen and it was as soft as a beer can. Even the best parts don't come close to originals.
For storage you just need a CF adapter board and a CF-SD adapter. The adapters all use the same chip even the overpriced iflash ones but they have different firmwares that may affect compatibility.

>>108820047
The very cheap ones are ass, might as well be e-waste.
The lower-mid range (think 40-100$) are okay if you have low expectations, they're more like toys though. Fun if you don't expect a home cinema setup. I have the cheapest I'd recommend going (below that it's really not worth it, see >>105737799 for a review.
If you want something you actually want to use for a home cinema setup, you'll need to pay more.

fuck that would look really cool in my electronic workbench
>>
>>108821061
Exactly, I want one, put it on a picture frame and then hang that next to my electronics shelf.
If you get one beware though, some seem to be old used wafers (cool) while others are basically colorful squares imprinted to look like a used wafer (much less cool). The second one won't have the micro-structures under a microscope. Up to you if you care of course, but I figured I'd warn you just in case.

i have the HY300 and might've been one of the anons who suggested against it. I bought it for around $32 and used it for 10 days before giving up on it. Latency meant that I couldn't game on it and the lack of brightness made media hard to watch.
I sideloaded xtra (adless twitch) and Smartube on it but even this doesn't balance out the negatives. I think I'll try one more thing by projecting it onto my white ceiling but if that's not good then I'll put it into storage for good.
>>
>>108821614
All of that it's fair, and I wouldn't disagree. I got mine for mobile use (basically running it off a battery outdoors for the novelty of it) which it does, but as I said, as a home theater it's underwhelming. Servicable, but you'll almost always wish you were just watching on a TV instead.
Gaming sounds like hell kek, I only use mine for movies and videos. Anything latency is a no-go for me.

Yep, that second one is the only one I had found, but again it is GHT male to BSP female, whereas I need GHT female to BSP male.
The first product is actually GHT to NPT according to the listing, which is not what I want.

It seems like there is no solution other than to 3D print a part, which I can't do. 20$ wasted. I will find another solution: get a Y-splitter with the correct threads and then buy individual valves to do what I wanted. For reference, the product I am looking for is like pic related, but with BSP threads instead of GST. Sadly the Chinks don't seem to manufacture such a product, and an equivalent one sold here in Switzerland would have cost me ~80$.

These individual valves work well:

As an aside, I notice that consumer grade irrigation supplies in Europe are crap compared to the US. The standard grade of product is plastic crap from brands like Gardena. You have to pay a massive premium if you actually want high quality fittings and hoses from brands like Geka.

Hey /csg/ it's been a while, but I got some chink shit delivered.
Here's what it all is. From left to right
>pink rings
Mechanical keyboard dampener o-rings. My mom wanted some mechanical keyboards for her workplace, but they said they're a bit too loud, so these are probably the best bet to help
>Gloves
Snow gloves for my girlfriend I'm teaching her to snowboard and she says she's enjoying learning, but my gloves are too big. Hopefully these help
>fabric in a bag
For her again, it's a face buff to keep her face warm. Green is her fave colour and this was the best green one. It also has some breathing holes, because my one she was using fogs up her glasses. We'll see if it works
>Bike mount for gopro
She wants to take some video of the mornings when she goes riding, this can attach to her bike and my gopro.
>USB hub
For my sister. She bought a macbook because she's a designer and she wants one she can leave at home and bring to work.
>Nose trimmer
My nose is starting to get hairs coming out, gotta keep up a bit of manscaping
>door open sensor.
I hooked up my garage door motor to an ESP32 for ESPHome (google it, it's awesome) but using this will let it know whether the door is open or closed. Hopefully I'll attach it this weekend
>Candle wicks
I got a really nice candle, but the wick burned out somehow, I'm gonna try and melt it and set one of these in it to keep it going
>bag shoulder pads
I got a belt for weighted pull ups at the gym, but the pad isn't big enough and it grates on my hips a bit, so hopefully these pad it enough
>Gopro helmet mount
For putting on a helmet, will use them somehwere soon
>microSD to USB adapter
Get data off gopro micro SD.
>Handle
For my grandad who hit 94 recently. He struggles getting in and out of the car, This goes into the door latch and gives him another handle to help himself up.
Let me know if you need any reviews or links to anything, I'll do what I can and if you've got any choice insults, hit me with them.

kek. It has an utility blade in the box.
I'm also starting to get this crap. Combined with the new EU-tax, I guess my AliExpress days are gone, until someone comes to their senses.
Honestly, I can kinda understand the 3€ thingy, ever since the normies got on board with temu and shein, China really is overwhelming our postal system but I have two issues with those 3€:
if it only where 3€? Fine. Not nice, but OK, but you just know there's all kinds of additionaly fees on top.
Why even go this retarded way? China can only do "free shipping" since it still counts as a developing country in the international postal system, meaning, their stuff has to get carried by our post for free. Axe this (but this would require our politicians to actually do their job and to do stuff the hard, but proper, way, instead of going the easy route.
And of course the whole >Lol, why should the plebs have some direct benefits from globalization? That's for companies and billionaires only! angle. Who did ship all production (and know how) to China? It wasn't Joe Everyman. It was the same politicians who know desperately want to save some stupid ass dropshipper and dollar-store clerk jobs here, since apparently, they're much more valueable than factory jobs.

But before I'm going full-on uncle Ted rageposting, here's some reviews
>foot
for some weird ass reason, the one with a logo (which of course was blurred out on aliexpress) was supposed to cost double than the no-logo version which I got. I guess I got a nice logo, worth 10€ for free! Thanks Chang! Looks and feels identical to the original. I acutally didn't buy it, because the original is too expensive or something, but it's almost impossible to get. Somehow, the Changs running Milwaukee doesn't understand the wear parts need to be easy to get. No fucking shop carrying milfuckee has this thing, excep for some random ass, no reviews, only money in advance, zero reviews shops.
But the real surprise was the sand paper:
I was expecting some cheap shit that'll break down within seconds, but that can save my expensive mirka and festool nets for sanding jobs that'll ruin those, but they're actually really good!
that tiny alu thingy.
some anon reccomended it, and I guess for 2€ it's uhhh… adequate, but it's not very good. The magnet part is way to weak, that large screw is the larges that will at least experiecne some kind of holding power from the magnet. Also, you have to stick it in yourself, making a corner where dirt will get caugt. And it's impossilbe to get it to fit perfect.
tiny screwdrivers.
we'll see. Fit standard bits (though you need pliers to remove them), I wanted to have something, to get into some tiny ass spots, actaully got some engineer tiny ratchet for that, but I returned it, since it was so slippery that it's useless.

the pouch/coin purse/earphone storage case thing is convenient for receiving change when you dont want to touch the coins, just pop it open. (listing is gone but theres plenty of them. i also got a fake leather one but it stinks real bad)
havent tried the dispenser but its just a spring with variable slots, probably better than having a pile of dirty coins.

switches feel pretty nice but a bit loud and heavy, especially the scrolling, maybe it will work itself out a bit but feels like a workout compared to my old logitech.
1000hz pretty stable, good dpi, software is a tiny bit buggy but has all the functionality you need. DPI button on the bottom for some reason but its fine. no visible lazer and top LED can be turned off. very nice.

also got a bunch of cheap insoles but havent tried yet, and some weeks ago a Flydigi Direwolf 4, which ill ave to return cause despite all the "premium" features, it has an annoying flaw of the stick... sticking a bit at the gate. i wanted it for racing and that makes it unusable, but otherwise its pretty cool.

I went to a gacha store recently on holiday, got two of these gundam bust capsules thinking it was an outer shell and an inner frame. Didn't open them until i got home

Nope, it's two outer shells but one is translucent, so now i have to buy two inner frames. But the inner frame is €15 on aliexpress (paid €8 in the store, even that felt high), while a set of all 3 different options is only €22. So obviously i get the set

But now i have four fucking outer shells and only one inner frame so i need to buy 3 fucking separate inner frames to compensate for the fact i'm a neurotic idiot. They're arriving in a few days, i'll just use them to practice airbrushing so it's all good.

'sales' like now and choice week at the start are normal prices while important dates like 11/11, BF, 6/18, etc are real sales

is there a wireless charger that's more like a surface rather than a phone stand? and that it can also charge several devices at the same time?
I don't need super fast charging, I think my phone supports qi2 but 15W is more than fine
no magnetic stuff, just a surface
>>
>>108860353
the phone has to be centered over the coil for it to work, it's not gonna work over the entire area of a given surface. if you want multi device it means there needs to be that many coils in it and you center the devices over each one.
they sell little coaster-looking chargers, you could just put 2 or 3 of them under a mat and call it a day.
>>
>>108860668
No, I don't expect it to work on the entire area, I meant for a surface having at least 2 or 3 specific spots where I can lay my devices, even if I have to somewhat move them around a bit to have a decent coil "contact"
most wireless chargers I see now are magnetic, which has several advantages, but i'm looking for something I can just lay things down, and not so apple-centered

Bought some ugreen Nexode power banks for a long trip (30 euros each on amazon).
Will be hiking off-grid for 7 days. Wondering if it would be possible to log the GPS track.

Noob question: do power banks last longer (deliver more to the phone batteries) when slow charging as opposed to some faster charging method? Usually things get hotter at higher charging rates, that's why I'm assuming it's less efficient. I don't care about the speed, as long as it's faster than the drain.

Is there a way to limit the charging speed on Pixel 8 and iPhone? Or should I try to keep the devices at higher percentages as they are charging more slowly in that context.

obviously can't find them that cheap anymore but they still sell watches with pure gps and no call functionality at the budget pricepoint

Get a SoWash if you can find it in the US. It connects directly to your faucet so you can run it with hot water and don't need to refill/clean a tank.
Italian product I believe so it might be hard to find outside Europe. Been using mine daily for 8+ years

Xiaomi makes great products though (love their nail clipper)

It comes with its own little chrome finished aerator that you swap the one on your faucet out for once, so no need to bust a wrench out every day.

The plastic bit locks onto the aerator with a quarter turn twist by a hidden mechanism.
The aerator sticks out a little more than your average one, but nothing you dont get used to. Maybe they changed it since, i bought mine in like 2017 I think

I'm the slowest of slowpokes, but I'm here to advice anyone against buying the Moondrop Chu II IEM because of this:

I'm pretty sure other reviewers must've mentioned this, but I just want to make sure other anons do not make the same mistake I did and waste money on such shitty products.
>>
>>108871246
it's great, though I have a different Xiaomi one, maybe the first version or something
I've used stationary one from Waterpick which was around 80€ iirc and it was a hassle to refill the water tank, the tank later started leaking out and the stop button would get stuck after every half a year. You could fairly easily get replacement parts but they weren't cheap
the xiaomi one I have developed no problems in 2 years, it's simple to refill and I usually use at least 2 tanks for a full clean. The only downside is power control, it has a full power setting, half power setting and massage setting or some bullshit I've never used instead of 10 pressure levels on the stationary one, and the full power mode is fucking strong, could take someones eye out and makes my gums bleed a bit

I am losing my fucking mind trying to find a very very specific USB cable.
>USB-C to USB-A
>PVC insulated
>3 meters
>classic beige (like picrel)
>coiled or straight to coil myself
Literally impossible to find anywhere. A few years ago people managed to get a hold of such cables but now it's impossible to find a basic bitch beige cable like this. And no that YMDK one is not beige, I ordered it and it's just an odd shade of white. I remember stumbling upon some cable factory store page that I could perhaps directly ask if they'd have a cable like that but I don't remember the name of it.

lol I actually bought a variation of the belkin 12 years ago
I feel like these are a bit overkill as I don't see me using more than one or two outlets and one or two usb ports at a time, it'd genuinely just be for my fan at one end and my lamp and sometimes heater at the other end

You think it's worth the extra like 30 bucks to get anker/belkin branded over shit like this which was the main amazon option I was looking at? https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0GHRQM78N
Shorter cables seem like a big plus

If I disregard cable length this might be a good option too https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0CKR7B9T9
I could just stuff the extra cable length behind the bed frame I suppose

It's so stupid that the smaller ones like this https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0C5QY4BL2 are more expensive

Air conditioner off/fan on at a specific time is a common configuration for timers where I live. My air conditioner has wifi control and I put the fan on a smart plug so I can manage it on my phone. When it comes to the light bulb dimming/color control from my phone is the main use case.

Too much of a hassle, I think it was already obvious, I started buying from Ali because this exactly thread, then a cousin convinced me to use TEMU and it's like day and night, an ergonomic mouse I bought on Ali costed me 42$ and bought it the same for 13$ on TEMU etc, I have actually bought Manga like Sayou-nara Eri, HxH and Made in Abyss on TEMU for as cheap as $8 and I cannot found them in Ali, and the manga that I see there cost like $20.

>>108891521

I don't know the idiosyncrasies of temu. I don't want to go through the pain of figuring out the pitfalls (i.e. wasting money on scams until i figure it all out. learning their reward system like the games and coins and diamonds). How hard was it to make the transition?
>>
>>108891641
Easy enough? I actually don't use those "game/coins? things, I just see the price and order, I swear, they do have those annoying "100 refund price, choose 20 objects totally free" My mom thought it was real and I did the process and in the end t was just and endless cycle of you trying to get the last 1% of the free gift/refund until you notice it will never end when asking you to share the TEMU link with your contacts, adfter that I never bother, I see the reddit forum people talking about using the farm game and sharing friend codes? I don't bother, I just see a really cheap price and just buy.
>>
>>108891641
>>108891657

Oh and about avoiding scams just don't buy the 10 Petabites SD cards? Just like Alie I never had any issues buying from TEMU I even feel more secure on TEMU than on Ali for some reason, I actually had an issue with the package this one time on TEMU I bought a Nail liquid thing for mom that got leakage and some small earrings that arrived broken, I didn't took the video when unpacking them, I thought of not bothering but I file a claim and got this "TEMU CREDIT" back without bothering with uploading the proof.
>>
>>108891301
I just want to buy my items, not play stupid games.
>>
>>108891301
Temu might be better for consooming cheap products but they don't sell half of the hobby shit I get on Ali. I feel like I'm getting stuff from a Shenzhen back alley sometimes.
