tinhifi c0 should be added to the bullet iems list, it has the same FR as Ultima but a metal shell and detachable cable, as well as an open back design.

cheapo beefy IEMs AND decent eartips to get (100 euro for all of them) for someone with big ear canals where L feel too small? It's either that or chinks have very very small ears.

How are the Sony WF-C510's? Are they decent for $70 and has decent noise cancellation and a good ear canal seal? I mostly wear earbuds while mowing the lawn or going for a nightly walk.

Niggas will say yt-dlp but will not say that nowadays it requires a JS runtime and fresh cookies from your browser. Open video downloader is a decent GUI for yt-dlp but you'll still need to put Deno(JS runtime) into the yt-dlp folder and youtube cookies into the GUI. And don't keep youtube open in the browser while it's downloading because it can invalidate the cookies.

iems: 7hz divine, celest phoenixcall 2.0. these specifically because the nozzle gradually tapers down to the rest of the shell which should work well with larger ear canals.
tips: full pack of 7hz h-07 from aliexpress. includes L size 07 tip and a ML sticky-silicone tip, good standards to start from. some pricier tips: azla crystal 2, divinus velvet wide bore

Learned the hard way that the Moondrop Chu II's brass tips will eventually oxidise and develop a yucky green patina, which I have to regularly wipe and clean.
What a wasted investment, never buying from Moondrop ever again. What a blunder of a design choice. Sucks to be me I guess.
>>
>>108880628
Why do you care that much? And how was it meant to be an "investment"? The fucking thing costs £20 lmao
>>
>>108880696
>Why do you care that much?
Because I don't want to insert something like that into my ear canals out of fear of some unforeseen health issues if left unchecked (not a doctor so I'm talking out of my ass here).
>And how was it meant to be an "investment"? The fucking thing costs £20 lmao
A small investment is still an investment!
And also until I can get a better paying job, every bit of money-saving counts.
>>
>>108880737
>I don't want to insert something like that into my ear canals out of fear of some unforeseen health issues if left unchecked
Well, I sleep with those things inside my earholes regularly so there's probably gonna be some kind of corrosive leakage, eh?

>A small investment is still an investment!

That's all well and good, you just look like a bit of a tit expressing this degree of buyer's remorse over something this cheap.
>>
>>108880769
Fair enough, my post was probably emotionally-fueled since the brass corrosion/oxidation of the tips was only just recently discovered (and cleaned up) first-hand by myself.
I'll probably get over it after a night's sleep.

you don't have to ever clip, just set negative pregain according to how much bass gain you're adding. you do this with different iems, you get a good idea of how each one handles more bass better than the other, and cleanly. Chu surprised me how it handles an asston of bass. Pregain is key.

>how's the sound though?
It is very good for its price. A lot better than some of my KZs, if we want to compare to similarly priced Chinese IEMs. But that's the sad thing about it really: good sound quality but bad choice of metal for the build/design.

I currently use Google Pixel Buds A-series (bluetooth, in-ear) to block out normie sounds when I'm out in public so I don't kms because autism.

I can't deal with wires and I'm a bassline junkie. I'm happy with these earbuds, but I'm looking to get a backup set. Budget up to $100. Should I just get another pair of these or is there a better alternative?

I heard Terra a year ago back in Canjam (See >>104973249). It's okay, I wont classify Terra as a "balanced" IEM, its just harman with a slight midbass boost. Also there were some treble resonance issues, and I had to tiproll a lot to tame the harshness - so I also caution against blind buying. In fact I'll pick incognita over terra since incognita mids sounded more natural and more filled-in.

>a more warm source
I dont think Terra really benefits from a warmer source. I wouldn't pair Terra with something like MUB5 or EA4 because the added midbass slowness would cause Terra to sound muddy. With harman-adjacent tunings I find that they are rather source-agnostic I'll just pick whatever.

I also thought a dedicated DAP was stupid, but after getting one it's pretty nice.
No need to mess with dongles, and the physical sd card and 3.5/4.4mm inputs are nice.
The playback times for the devices are much longer than a typical phone too.
