>ONE guy has a method to root/unlock bootloader of bootloader-locked US samsung snapdragon models
>banned for muh heckin racism(???)
>mods refuse to elaborate when asked
>say "someone else should just figure out his method and pick up where he left off", locks thread
so tell me again why Reddit killing XDA was supposedly a 'bad' thing?

seeing this brings warmth to my evil chud heart
fuck these people, from the bottom of my soul

They literally never learn. They take over projects or people involved with the project catch the gay brain virus and then they do a political purge like they're le ebin Stalin, but they're not they're random losers running a community for niche tech interests. The project is kill and then they blame anyone besides themselves, never reflect on their actions, and then go on to defile more projects.

Honestly I think most of us did

And the sad thing is, that they have plenty of time to replace the chuds, yet they fail.
It's not like everybody leaves in protest when they do a purge. The project keeps existing and none of the lurkers care about it.
People only start leaving once the quality of the project is so bad that it affects them personally, which takes a while.

I never saw a successful recovery.
Ten years later they are still missing the exact thing the developer provided who they kicked out.
Or a corpo steps in, pays for development for a while and it dies two to three years later, when the corpo gets tired of burning money.

Not once did i see leftoids stepping up and filling the void that they created.

I've noticed many people (especially women) in Tech act like this, with the 'blame everyone other than themselves' mentality
unironically, why are they like this? working with them is such a chore

It is relic of an older age, and clearly a shadow of its former self. Hell, I was on there all the time back in the early Android days. Eventually, got fed up being my own tech support relying on rando fourm people for tech support, so I bought an iPhone, That was ~13 years ago, no ragerts. I cannot imagine what XDA would like now.

It's pretty much still exactly the same just even more dead.
Android tinkering as a whole is basically dead.
One of these days bootloader unlocking will just be gone and no one will bat an eye.

Thats kinda sad. I dont have the time or desire to do much of that anymore, but it was a lot fun when I did. I loved checking out new ROMs and Kernels, even ran Cyanogenmod nightlies sometimes. A lot of what made it worth while was adding features like tethering or quick toggles. Many of which are just standard parts of both Android and iOS now.

geeeeeeeeeee, xdaforums.com sucked so bad
>>
>>108810876
Android tinkering is very much alive, there's just no reason to use XDAForums anymore. It's full of pajeets and malware. It's like still recommending people use Ebaumsworld or some shit.

Xda has been gradually shifting towards a corporate outlet for a long time now; last thing was banning discussing frp unlock, because muh "anti-theft bypass", when that's mostly clueless innocent people getting locked out of their own devices.
Those jews are just killing anything that might "upset" their sponsors, while pretending they're (still) le based hackers' forum.

I'd have dmca* the site for removal of any and all of my content. I actually did it once elsewhere for similar reasons, btw.
*) under dmca, *anyything* you post is your intellectual property, therefore they'd be liable for copyright infringement if wouldn't comply.

Where's the current place, then?

>someone got banned from a forum a year ago
How is this worth a thread?
