how does an almost 10 year old cpu not bottleneck with a rtx 2070 equivalent gpu?
>>
>>108813131
because intel are frauds, there is not much improvement from the 7th generation to the 14th generation in single core performance.

plus an RTX 2070 isnt exactly going to push out 240 FPS
>>
>>108813155
it's good for budget gaming you can find one for 150 bucks but it's weird how what was a revolutionary gpu at that time works with zero bottlenecks or any gpu with slightly greater performance
>>
>>108813193
the card just isnt fast enough to make the CPU bottleneck, unless you go for a ridiculously low resolution like 320 x 200
>>
>>108813131
RTX 2070 was released nearly 8 years ago, why would you be so surprised that level of card works alright with a 10 year old CPU?
>>
>>108813131
the stat websites are ridiculously not accurate
>>
all of those websites are pretty much just guesses at best, the actual combination capability of a lot of hardware is super specific to the individual game
there are CPU and GPU bound games out there, stuff that will run fine on any cpu but will eat all the vram it can get, and theres games out there that want nothing but single core performance and some barely tolerable gpu

there will be scenarios where the 7700 (and its fairly slow ddr4 speeds of the platform) will be a limiting factor even with that gpu, but theres also the inverse where that 7700 will do perfectly fine and let a 3090 spread its wings a bit, its all down to the actual use not the general use

The nu gen of PC builders drunk the koolaid of Taiwanese marketing and treat CPU bottlenecks as some type of mysterious boogyman that's lurking and everpresent everywhere unless you buy a high end CPU, Mobo, RAM, etc

>theres games out there that want nothing but single core performance and some barely tolerable gpu
unreal goy engine ruined gaming.
I don't expect my 1650 to run at 4k 244 fps but for fuck's sake how does a game that looks like metro last light that came out over 10 years ago require a 4060 for smooth gaming?

let me tell it's the companies being greedy and they give you the middle finger "here's the ai slop enjoy your blurry game bye bye".
did you know that you can play resident evil 4 on the ps2? my kid mind was in awe at how realistic it looked.

nowadays games can really look realistic and theoretically we have the hardware for 8k 60 fps gaming but they won't let us have it or they simply don't care about optimization because money is more important.

it's mind boggling how today we have an absolute downgrade of gaming, gta V came on the ps3, a motherfucking 2006 console.

>will gta VI be on the ps4 or at least on the ps4 pro?
rockstargames ceos will look at each other and laugh maniacally, they know it's doable but they won't do it because of greed.

>can we get it on pc?
yeah sure but you'll need 128 gb of ram, 64 gb of vram but the new slopAI 7020 gpu comes with 16gb only so it'll purposely run like shit.
oh btw it comes out 3 years later after it gets released on console first.

it's not the hardware
it's the fucking companies screwing you over
>>
>>108813371
You forget how badly those games ran on that hardware and on what resolution.
Re4 wasn't even 720p at 30 fps.
I forget the resolution of the Ps2 but it probably was at most 480p at 30 FPS.
GTA V looks like absolute crap on the PS3 and cannot reach stable 30 fps at 1080p.

>how does the locked sibling of 7700k from 2017 not bottleneck the equivalent of a glorified 2060 8gb from 2018
>>

these sites are faker than userbenchmark and passmark
