Bought the Nothing Phone 3 a few months ago and I kinda don't think it was worth it, but that's just because I'm picky in general and my old Galaxy Note was still working well. Nothing OS is nice, the UI is very good (but that doesn't matter if you're just going to use third party launchers and KLWP) but I guess I bought it expecting something "unique" and at the end of the day I'm just using it exactly like I used the old phone.
In retrospect I would've been fine keeping my old 2020 phone and saving $700 or maybe trying another novel phone like an Xperia.

Pretty much any modern phone will do everything your 6S will do. Closest cheap but still supported (for a couple years) device would be iPhone SE 2022, it's basically the same thing but upgraded internals. However, there's no headphone jack (same with the rest of these recs), so you'll have to use a $5 dongle or wireless or lightning (or on a modern iPhone or Android, USB Type C headphones).

If you want to stick with iPhone but are ok with a more modern design, you could go for a 16e or 17e, you're already used to a 60Hz display so it would be a direct upgrade to OLED. Better phones have 120 Hz or even higher.

If you want to go Android, you would do well to consider a mid-range Pixel. You gain a camera lens (ultrawide) and a lot more flexibility with the OS. Depending on your budget a 9A or 10A would probably be good. For a full camera experience (with telephoto zoom lens) you'd have to bump up to the "normal" Pixel 10, or an older Pixel 8 Pro (but back before the 9 series the "Pro" was essentially the "Max" or "Ultra" big-ass version) but we're pushing out of the budget category.

I would personally avoid Samsung especially their budget A-series phones. OneUI is bloated on flagships, I imagine it just chugs especially on low end devices (lower the first of the two numbers, the shittier it is).

I have a Pixel 6 Pro that had slight water intrusion and the screen went dead.
I bought a $50 screen on ebay, its working good.
I also had to order a new finger print sensor, and I ordered a new battery from ifix it cause might as well.
so far I only installed the screen. the issue im having now is the battery is draining very, very fast.
nothing in settings is showing what it is, nothing new was installed, just very fast battery drain.
now I know my battery was on its way out, thats why i ordered a new one, but it shouldnt be draining this fast.
i only removed the old screen and installed a new one. phone isnt sealed, only the screen attached.

I dont want to proceed with the battery replacement yet, but is that going to fix the issue or is this phone being a bitch for whatever reason?

Additionally, Android apps tend to be more lenient on older versions, but it's still not a good idea to run an EOL phone.
