What SMS apps would you guys suggest? I gave google a try and it fucked me over by not sending texts at all whatsoever, their stupid RCS feature has remained hung on "Conmecting to carrier" since yesterday. what the actual fuck am I to do here? I had samsung app on my old phone, then I upgraded to a new phone which has google app, every single time I view a message it throws up a prompt for "save this contact?" and there is zero way to change that behaviorwhy

>>108819292did you not read the original issue??? it is hanging on verifying the phone number that is already calidated on a google account. it will not allow me to send simple SMS without me having to force stop the app, clear cache, re open it after turning off RCS, every single message. I do not give two shits if RCS is on or Off or who can scan what. SMS has been known to be buck broken a billion times over, shit even your ISP knows exactly what you send it is their servers your using to send your texts over anyway. The issue remains that google wants to step in adding YET another server on top of sending it to your carrier outbto someone else and that server being unreachable by the phone.

i'm fucked theni'm not using jewgle messages, on average that shit takes up 2x the amount of ram minimum and consumes more battery than the samshit one for no apparent reason (it's telemetry, ofc it's telemetry)
