Ripping out the motherboard and replacing it with a rpi zero 2W.

Idk I like my LG OLED.

Just made a lil script to cast through Brave since casting through Firefox is ass on GNU/Linux.

The casting is way better than on my 4k Roku thing but I bought the Roku because the Hulu app always breaks on the LG OS lol...

There really isn't a point if you have a good device plugged into it but they are nice if they have the app support you need. I hate having to deal with the all of the cables from my devices and home theater setup.

I'm sure there are such people out there, but hopefully not on /g/.
I can't remember the last time I've seen an ad on any of my devices.
>>

use as display with the smart bug virus ad delivery shit disconnected

I block everything but pay for YT premium. I still use iOS, iMessage is too important to me. I get laid.

Being proud of knowing how to use an adblocker and setup your router is kind of cringe.

Nice job though hackerman.

watch youtube videos with freetube

Disconnect them from the net and hook up to your computer or some other media device depending on what you want. In any case, avoid using smart features by all means.

>>108819427
I wouldn't mind seeing a couple ads on youtube if it funds the people who actually make the videos, but i started getting such retarded gooner ads that I just had to get an adblock.

The whole business model is fundamentally fucked.
Louis Rossmann said it best a long time ago, he gets a fraction of a cent every time people waste their time watching an ad thinking they're helping him.
If someone's worth your time giving them one dollar/euro directly once will amount to more money than you watching years of ads like a good goy thinking you're supporting your "favourite content creator" by disabling your adblocker.
And like you said there's absolutely no oversight on the part of google as to what's shown, AI scams, literal porn and so on.

anyone do this for RokuTV shit

My LG C4 42inch I use as a monitor has never even heard of the internet. An HDMI signal is the only thing it has ever experienced
>>

I bought a 65" LG OLED a few years ago and eventually turned off the WiFi so now all I use it for is a glorified monitor where I plug a USB stick into the side with my most recently downloaded torrents and it plays everything flawlessly.
>>
>>108819403
What do you need the mini PC for, streaming?
>>
All the apps are complete ass.
If you want a good experience just buy a pocket PC and screw it to the backside

connecting an apple tv/mini pc
>>

>turned off the WiFi
Disconnecting smart tv's from the internet is their best use case.
>>
>>108819368
Not configure any account and just use it as a plain tv
That's the best and only smart tv use.
