Adding to this, it's with pretty heavy Android Auto use with 100% battery on a cable, it gets really hot then, other than that, it doesn't really get that hot, other than if i'm really pushing it, I don't game on my phone or do anything that heavy. Why there's almost no custom roms for Galaxy S8 with Snapdragon processor?
>>
hey bros, im buying a new smartphone and id like your opinion
i want top tier display, performance and battery with a lot of headroom for degradation because i usually keep my phones for 3+ years and then, when i get a new one, i keep the previous as secondary. after some lurking around im leaning towards oppo find x9 pro. i also considered op15 and s26u but im closer to oppo beacuse
>op15 has worse cameras, smaller battery and snapdragon cpu that tends to overheat and draw more power than oppos mediatek. also company is kill so quality of future software updates is questionable
>s26u battery is abysmal, same story with snapdragon cpu (i dont game so i dont need extra power) and im not the greatest fan of one ui

good camera setup and water resistance are in the nice to have category to me but not 100% essential. for that reason im also considering non pro find x9 for its smaller form factor
any thoughts, recommendations? reasons to avoid oppo?

You will play the ad-filled mickey mouse slop and you will enjoy it got it ?
>>
>>108838309
that's dumb reasoning especially considering they have other channels
>>
Pixel 9 has Class 3 face id, anyone know if the custom roms like lineage also support this when flashed to the Pixel?

This is informative and unfortunate.

Depends on the ROM. Most do not include Face Unlock at all, some are basically just the stock ROM and do.

DameTech Video. The S26 Ultra crashes and requires a cooler. Even with a cooling setup the Galaxy wasn't able to surpass the iPhone 17 Pro Max running the SAME game.

Retarded.

>always fail to explain why the s26 ultra kept shutting down from over heating and required a Red Magic Cryo Cooler 8 to do what the iPhone 17 Pro Max is doing without a cooler
hmmm okay anons

>emulating a x86_64 PC game
>native ARM and Metal port
If the iPhone was CAPABLE of x86_64 game emulation it would struggle just like the S26U. Because emulating a different CPU architecture isn't free.
Why are you obsessed with this small channel anyway? You literally post every one of they/them/theirs videos here, not as part of a discussion, just spam.
>>
>>108839091
you didn’t explain why the S26 ultra keeps crashing pal. i’m not interested in fake influencer pages that don’t show the true technology being put through a stressed environment, not many places have shown any devices crashing under stress. DameTech is a respected pro gamet and smartphone reviewer eho is surprisingly sponsored by Red Magic too. he also has videos where both phones are running the same game natively and all android devices always never seem to do better than the A19 Pro. why are you mad?
>>
>>108839117
I literally explained it. It is EMULATING a DIFFERENT CPU architecture. The iPhone is not. Do you not know the difference between x86_64 and ARM?

You are simply not listening, no point in discussing further.

That's not explaining why the s26 ultra like the OnePlus 15 and other smartphones running the same SOC crash due to overheating. You can't explain why. I will, it's not designed properly to handle heavy loads. The A19 Pro achieves better, cooler and withess energy draw. Qualcomm needs to fix this instead of releasing chips that can't stay on.

any S26U/S25U users that can give me some advice? also how's the OP15? does it really overheats that much?
>>
>>108841728
S26U is better than S25U. Better lenses on 1x and 5x, better heat management, faster RAM and SoC. Umless there's a significant price difference, get the S26U. OP15 is a great device too, no overheating issues, at least not on the versions with glass back (black and violet), unlocked bootloader, etc. That said, if you don't care about unlocking the bootloader, on the stock firmware, the S26U is the better device. I own all three phones, btw, and between the three you can't go wrong with either. I would say the prder which I would rank them as: S26U > OP15 > S25U.
The stock fw on OP15 also has some odd quirks. For instance, in single threaded workloads, OxygenOS sends it to one of the smaller cores. The S26U sends it to a big core. This sometimes results in almost a 2x speed difference. And there are a few more issues that I have with it, but they are hardly a dealbreaker. On the other hand, OP15 runs Genshin Impact at 120FPS. You win some, you lose some. For a power user, I would lean more towards OP15, as the stock fw behaviour are basically nonissues.

thanks a lot anon, actually I just tried both S25/26U at the samsung store and I really disliked how the 26 feels in the hand, also why tf didthey nerfed the square corners, now it looks like an FE device but bigger, wtf Samsung

I'm still very divided between the 3 phones :( I really, really like the square design of the S25U but the performance of OP15 and its battery life looks better for 3ds/switch/windows emulation and multimedia

I am looking for opinions on the different UI's. One ui, vs pixel ui vs color os, etc...
I've only ever used ios so this is all new to me. I was playing around with an xfinity brand moto g and noticed how utterly full of ads the thing was which very well could be an xfinity thing, but it got me thinking about OS's
>>
>>108841921
25 has trash battery life, slightly worse cameras than 24u and 26u,but it has by far the best display out of all samsung phones. Also titanium is so nice

If you are a normie get the 26u,you wont notice the difference, but they nerfed display to make privacy display work and it is the worst tradeoff i ever seen samsung make
>>108841945
PixelUI is the hipster version of android, some fun and exclusive gimicks, but you cant get it with hugh end hardware so dont bother unles you are a hipster.
OxygenOS and colorOS are super polished, no nonsense, get it done versions of android. Oppo is spiritual successor of huawei and its emui and is beginning to position itself as number 1 chink phone for global market
Hyperos is lagging behind, comes full of ads, double apps, preinstalled bloat. Its ok of you buy 250$ xiaomi redmi note whatever pro max ultra plus and then spend a week and a half debloating it, but it is unacceptable on phones like xiaomi 17 ultra which is like 1400$
Nothing phone software like their phones is different for the sake of being different, avoid
OneUI is packed full of features. I dont like how it looks nowadays (i know i can change it all, but i just go with what comes out of the box, and i dislike what samsung is putting out, it is so blue and depressing) and a shitload of features samsung just drops unannounced and bring some noone asked for. On my galaxy s4 you could hover over the picture and it would give you big screen preview without opening it, you could turn the eye tracker on and it would not let the display turn off as long as you looked at it and it would pause the video if you looked away, you could lie in bed with phone in landscape mode and it would know if you want it to rotate or not....there are dozens and dozens examples of stuff like this that once was samsung exclusive and now either samsung has dropped it or everyone else has it too

Comimg from ios, i think coloros will feel like like home

I like pixel UI because it still looks the same since Android 6.
