If you are using battle mode you should be able to check out which model it was used after picking the best result (going by the resolution that might be either Grok or Imagen4? It doesn't have the synthID watermark so it's not Nano Banana and newer). But never mind that, if you aren't interested in randomly/blindly testing models click where it says "Battle Mode" and select either "Direct" or "Side-by-Side", you can directly pick whichever model(s) you want in those modes.

My guess was that they were going to just drop another OpenAI model, possibly gpt-image-2; the "dedicated replacement" bit is weird indeed. MAI-Image-2 was released recently, it would be peculiar for Microsoft to release a completely new in-house model, if that's one wants to read in "dedicated".

I don't prompt guns usually, just shotguns and rifles (and usually not even showing them used), but I made a couple of attempts with guns and I didn't notice any particular issue. Couldn't it be because of the context? I tried shooting ranges, both modern indoor ones and the classic cans outdoor (sloppy results that weren't even worth saving, but no filter issue).

On the other hand, NBP/NB2 are struggling a lot on Arena right now, it's the first time in quite a while.

Talking about Flow again, I'm not sure if it's the same outside the EU, but it should be noted that it is only for 18+ users and it seems to use Google's (arguable) automatic age estimation for the account. That might explain the looser filters.
